This is another item I've updated from an earlier version I was using. I like the bigger screen size. The reaction time while navigating a book is faster. Also, the 9w plug-in charger recharges very fast.

I had pondered getting this reader for some time. I am so glad I did. I have a lot of books on the Kindle app on my phone and had considered a Kindle reader, but figured "how much difference could it make?" Well, let me tell you, it is so much more like reading a book. The pages are much bigger, and the pages actually turn (just like a book). It is difficult to read a book and/or my phone outside or inside sometimes, due to the glare. This Kindle prevents glare so I can read outside, inside, in the dark, any circumstance you could imagine, outside of being submerged in water. The battery lasts seemingly forever..Lol! I have only plugged it up one time since I got it right after Christmas this year and it has NEVER died nor ran low on battery. If you love to read but don't want to have to carry big books around nor have a light on at night while your partner tries to sleep, this is the best thing you will ever purchase for reading. It comes in several colors and this one I purchased as a bundle which included the cover and charger plug. I hope you will give it a try and find as much joy as I have with it,

I starting buying Kindles almost 15 years ago. I have a Prime membership so get the Prime books free and over the years have either bought or gotten free a lot of Kindle books. I have been happy with all of them for the first two years. Inspite of being careful with them the problems start about the 2 year mark (battery life, unit bricking during update, screen becoming unresponsive, speed of item becoming painful). Replacing them when they are on sale and trading in the old device keeps the cost down but really disappointed that they don't last longer.
