These gloves do the trick, they are very well designed, they're comfortable and most important they work. Even with long tongs, working in front of a forge it is extremely hot, not just the surrounding air, but the tongs heat up as well. Very comfortable gloves. I bought two from this brand. I'm using it for fireplace and to moved the wood. If you need heat resistance gloves difinetely buy the black one. I tried to put glowing charcoal in this gloves and do not feel hot in my hands. The yellow and black colors very comfortable but is not heat resistance. You can still put this gloves in around the fireplace but I prefered the black one. Customer service from the seller is a world class. They did reply to your message in one business day. Will buy this gloves again for sure....

I wish all gloves were made with the quality of these. I use primarily for the woodstove, and they have been used multiple times each day throughout three winters and still holding up great. Good heat resistance, great fit (size Large fits like a real size large, not tight), all stitching is still intact and good dexterity for something that protects so well. I also weld and would be confident using them for that purpose as well.
