For such a high price, you would expect a product to perform admirably and exceedingly well. This paint from KILZ certainly lives up to these expectations. I think of all the inexpensive household upgrades that can be done, painting is the easiest but also the one I (and my husband) hate the most. The scrubbing of walls, priming, time waiting for paint to dry between coats, clean up, etc., add up to a study in frustration. Yes, we love the end result but absolutely abhor the journey! Years ago KILZ had another paint that was supposed to function like this one - one coat and done - but it didn't quite live up to expectations. Their latest version is a serious improvement on their former product. We still had to tape of windows and woodwork, but there was no time wasted on sanding and priming walls and waiting for the primer to dry. We barely even washed the walls before applying this paint. The color we covered was a generic tan, so there wasn't any worry about whether or not this would be one-coat coverage. And yes, this paint really does cover in just one, solid coat of paint. No bleed-through of color from underneath, and most importantly, no change in the color of the paint in the can to its application on the wall. Without priming first, paint in the can can change color once applied on the walls. This was not the case with KILZ TRIBUTE. It was the same color on the walls as it was in the paint can. KILZ TRIBUTE also lived up to the low VOC rating it received. The bathroom we painted doesn't have any windows, just an exhaust fan, so we were concerned that the fumes would be overwhelming and had multiple fans set up to help move air. As we worked, we only needed one fan, not several, to keep the bathroom air breathable. The low VOC was especially notable as the bathroom didn't reek of fresh paint for days on end. There was a hint after about a week, but not much more. If the door was closed for long periods the exhaust fan did need to be on, but for short time frames the door could be closed without the occupant suffocating from paint fumes. We have more painting projects coming up in the near future, and this KILZ paint is now our one choice. Just make sure you mix the paint very, very well, either with a mixer attached to a power drill, or take it to your local hardware or big box store and ask them to put it in their paint mixer. ... show more

I've trusted the KILZ brand for years as part of a mold prevention repertoire in my Florida home. In fact, before painting my walls, I would almost always start with a KILZ primer. I was glad to see that they offer a variety of cool, modern colors with the same mildew-prevention technology. KILZ TRIBUTE Interior Eggshell Paint and Primer in One in is exactly that: Paint and Primer in One and it does the job providing great coverage! It goes on easily with standard roller and brushes and provides excellent concealment. A little goes a long way. I was able to paint 2 walls of daughter's standard sized bedroom with approximately ⅓ a can. It's a good value paint as a second coat is not required, even when covering a darker color underneath. In my daughter's room, I was able to paint over blue with one coat. It provides full opacity with its easy to brush on texture. The Lodan Frost is a neutral color that's a good alternative to white. It looks earthy and modern simultaneously providing a clean-lined feng shui look. This was a great choice for transitioning my daughter's once toy-filled room to a more sophisticated, teenage style retreat. I highly recommend KILZ premium paint for its superlative quality and easy-to-use application. It looks sumptuous on the walls giving the whole room elevated intrinsic value. This was hands down the most pleasant painting experience I have ever had! The paint is high quality and my kitchen looks amazing! However, the best part of the experience was how easy it was to select and receive my paint. In the past, my painting projects have been tiring, and anxiety producing. Mostly because the local big box hardware store had too many choices... I would go and get the sample chip cards then spend days looking at them in different lights. I might even go back a second time for even more samples... I have been even known to buy and use those sample cans...It was overwhelming and crazy-making to pick from so many shades of the same color! KILZ has a great small collection of carefully curated colors. I selected the Loden Frost ( a modern sage green with silvery undertones) for my tiny condo kitchen. I love the color. It's very true to what is displayed on Amazons website. It felt great to commit to a color! Also, I loved not having to waste my time going to the hardware store. No waiting in line, no talking to anyone and no lugging a heavy can home! So easy to select, buy and then it ships straight to your home. It arrived in perfect condition! KILZ makes a great product. I was most familiar with their EXCELLENT stain hiding ceiling paints. Their paint is excellent quality. It goes on smoothly and has great coverage. I did two coats because I had more than enough paint. I feel I could have gotten away with only one coat if were necessary. My kitchen looks amazing! Anyhow, I just want to say go for it! I received the Loden Frost. It's a beautiful color that looks very modern and calming. It's a very muted sedate green that has done an amazing job of pulling my haphazard decor with a lot of wood, burgundy, and browns together. The can arrive well packaged and sealed, with a paint stirrer included with it. (The wooden kind.) Coverage is excellent for the most part though I had some paint damaged from removing a border that required sanding. For most painting, we use roller with little sponge brushes for the corners and those work great with this paint. With careful application running/dripping is not a problem at all. I love that it can be scrubbed. This is a paint that does not have a strong odor - you can smell it but it didn't give me a headache and it does not have half the strength of odor that my last gallon of paint had. ... show more
