My husband is an engineer, so he's the guy who points out all the "flaws" - and in this one it's the fact that if you lose this proprietary charging cord, you're out of luck...unless you're an engineer lol. Bottom Line Up Front: Good for a ?5 to 11 Year Old with many games, selfie-cam, flashlight, music player, watch, other functions. Will need an adult for initial setup and data transfer to / from computer over USB. Do Not Lose the Data / Charging Cable! - The data / charging Cable is a tiny short 1-foot proprietary magnetic design - so unless your kid has a USB port on their night table, you'll probably need an extension cable for charging. ALSO - IF you misplace this data / charging cable, you will be stuck. It comes with a 12-page micro-print user guide. The manual I received was for a different version of the watch - as the manual talked about USB-C ports, memory cards, and a 32MB internal memory (my watch has 502 million bytes [497 MB] internal memory and a magnetic data/charging port). It has a whole bunch of games and puzzles that can be played (explained in the instructions), as well as a low res camera. It can play MP3 audio files, has a flashlight mode, calculator and many other functions. The screen is touch-sensitive making menu navigation fairly simple. Upon receipt I FULLY charged the watch. - It has many clock faces and 26 games. The screen goes dim after about 18 seconds and powers down after about 25 seconds - although this can be changed in the settings. My watch has a 500MB memory capacity (383MB available out of 479) - BUT I don't think this can be changed as my watch is sealed. I used the camera to take a selfie - using thier built-in camouflage mask of glasses and a mustache to avoid any personally identifying info per Amazon request - file size 22.4K. Looks OK when played on the watch screen. The games are pretty cute - and some do require thought and logic to play - I'd say up to about a 10 year old level (maybe 12). - When connected to a computer it said "USB Connected" but DID NOT appear as a folder in Windows File Explorer. After several more tries - I recharged the watch (it WAS 90% before charging) - then WITHOUT turning it on, connected to the computer. I now found MANY folders - no doubt related to the games and other watch functions - DO NOT MESS WITH THEM !! In fact - I copied / backed them up to my main computer (transfer proceeded at a max of 815 KB/s). Folders I suspect you CAN add to or modify include Audio, My Music, Photos and Videos. The 22Kb mustache selfie (attached) was 240x240 pixels at 96 dpi. Colors were undersaturated and focus was fair near, blurry distant. ... show more

My middle child has trouble caring for his things, so we have put off getting him a new watch. I wanted one that could handle accidental water exposure, be sturdy enough to handle a kid being a soccer playing/rough and tough kid, as well as allow him the opportunity to show us he can handle having a device attached to his wrist. Thus far, he has accidentally washed it, wore it in the shower, dropped it down the school stairs (someone bumped into him while he was adjusting it), sweat all over it while he played soccer, and several other child activities. Even after all of this (in less than a month), the watch still works and has only received one blemish from it's trip down the stairs. Amazing Gift! This is a great toddler watch! It was very simple to set the time and to operate. My 7 year old is having a great time toggling between different features. My advice to the manufacturer: Don't cram four apps onto a 1" screen. Use a universal charging cable - and make it longer than 12"! There are some great features on this watch and it's probably worth the price but it's too problematic for children. I'd look elsewhere next time.
