Even for the furry ones. I actually got this for my little dog. It's the perfect size for him. He prefers it opened straight. I do believe he thinks its his personal chaise lounge. Fabric is soft and warm while the thick cushioning is comforting and supportive as he suffers from arthritis. This turned out to be perfect for my daughters "club house" under her bunk bed. This is a very soft, comfortable, convertible chair/nap station. It should be up against a wall or a couch, so the child doesn't tip it over if they stand up in it, but otherwise it is very sturdy. Though it is advertised for kids, we were expecting something a little more than this. This chair is more for toddlers than kids. It looks nice and all, but just suffers greatly from its size. Had it been even 6" larger in all directions, it would have been so much more versatile across more age groups.
