My daughter was almost 6 months old on my birthday this year. As I held her while she stood in my lap, she started to hit her Uncles keyboard that was set up next to where I sat. He turned it on for her and her face lit up and from then on she has loved to hit anything that will make noise. We wanted to get a keyboard for her after that, but wanted to get a cheaper one because well, she is a baby., Im talking potential drool and my daughter is SO destructive. Since this one was just over $20 and could be battery operated (since she LOVES cords for some reason) I chose this one. Its actually pretty neat and does a lot. I thought I had it figured out but sometimes she will make it have a completely different sound than Ive heard out of it. lol. Anyway, its VERY durable, she is rough with it. Its been knocked off her high chair, the desk. its gone down a couple steps too. Its fine. lol,. Not that I recommend such keyboard abuse, she knocks stuff off of surfaces like a cat. So, bonus? Sound quality is a bit canny, or fake sounding, but hey, its a cheap keyboard. There is a "stop" button on the keyboard for when your kiddo inevitibly hits one of the buttons that goes on forever, guess you could power it off too. Overall, pretty great, daughter is 9 months now and still plays with it, hits it really, loves the sounds, now she can point and hits individual buttons. its great. ... show more

Feels like it will fall apart any moment. You can only press 1 key at a time and none of the sounds actually sound like a piano. But for a small child it will entertain them.

    • My 6 year old loves it!
This was given as a birthday gift for my daughter who loves to make music and sing her heart out. It is well loved and endures 6 year old enthusiasm daily. It has taken its fair share of drops, throws, been stepped on and been yanked off of the table by the mic more that I could even count. It is still working great. This was purchased as a replacement for a keyboard of her that I unfortunately broke while rearranging her room. This one wasn't sparkly and as kiddish looking so I was a little apprehensive on how it would be received. She loved all of the effects and absolutely loved the mic being connectable to the keyboard so that she doesn't have to set up both her keyboard and her karaoke machine! The negative reviews also had me slightly nervous. However I did not have any of the issues that was expressed in those reviews. Review Update: the USB it came with broke after 3 uses. Little fingers handling it. It was also a short connection didn’t have much slack. With batteries, we still like how it functions and sounds great still. Initial review: Bought this as a gift for my 2 yr old and 1 yr old. They love playing with it. The overall quality of the product is great. Easy to use. The microphone works but you have to place it right on your lips to make the sound loud and clear.
