My girls are having fun doing there make up. The make up is light and not crazy dark. I just don't like when my little one asked me to open it the little clasp just fell apart. Yes it's a toy but the little metal pieces could hurt a child.

This makeup kit is pretty comprehensive... there's a lot to do and a lot to clean up afterwards haha. My niece thinsk it's great as she is really into makeup right now. Most of it ends up on the rest of our faces rather than hers, but it's easy to wash off. I love the purple and white purse design it folds into. Great for face painting or imaginative play for kiddos. I gave it 4 stars only because I think that the regular price of $40 is a bit steep- $30 would be the max I'd pay for something like this for children... as we know they'll go through it quickly... ... show more

I ordered this makeup kit for use with my niece when she came to my house to visit- as she's on a princess kick lately and we needed a beautiful face to go with the beautiful dress! The makeup kit smelled a little strong like mineral oil when I first opened it so I spot tested it on her to make sure it wouldn’t irritate her skin, but she has been using it without any problems. I love the number of brushes and she likes all the little compartments that fold out. She has used the glitter all over her face and it hasn’t gotten in her eyes, which was another concern. It is a great kit and a great value. It's perfect for the moment that she decided that I also needed to have makeup put on to look like a princess. She was a little wild with her application, but even some eye pokes and brushes in the cheeks didn't result in any issues. The products are kid friendly and easy to clean up.
