Judging this as a kid's toy it's good. It's actually pretty advanced and some of the features could be confusing for little kids (I still can't figure out what some of the features do and it doesn't come with instructions). It also does not come with a power cord. Instead of comes with a short USB charger cable that you have to hook up to your own phone charger. The sound is about what should be expected from something in this price range .(It comes on at full volume - so watch out for that!). The microphone is a great bonus feature, and I like the fact that instead of it just being attached, you can unplug it and it has its own storage space in the bottom of the unit. There are numerous pre-programmed sound fields, instrument types (of varying quality), and drum pads / rhythms. The keyboard only records what you're playing on keys - not the microphone or rhythms. So keep that in mind if that's important to you. It's very lightweight and although it is an inexpensive build it doesn't appear to be easily breakable. My kids have been hammering away on it for a while and it's fine so far. If you are looking for something to introduce young children to musical instruments but you don't want to spend a lot of money and you also don't want just a toy, this is a good happy medium! ... show more

Bought this for 10y old son, and he's very happy with what he got. We never tried low price range keyboard before, and here's our impression. Sound: Quality is Okay with this price range Weight: surprisingly light as my son can carry by himself safely. I'm an adult that used to at as a kid and I just wanted to get back into playing and see what I could do. This keyboard was definitely not made for me. The keys are definitely kid size and the sound sucks. It also feels like it would break in no time.
