Both of my boys (6 and 10) tried this balaclava, and it fit them both comfortably. It is a little early in the season to wear this for more than a few minutes without roasting alive, but I can't see any reason why this won't perfectly suit our cold weather activity needs. The fabric is soft and stretchy, but doesn't feel flimsy. It easily and comfortably covers the nose, without creeping up under eyes. It is easy enough to pull down off of the nose for trips indoors, or if your kiddos prefer not to have their noses covered. My kids said that it was comfortable to breathe through, and fit comfortably under a helmet, so I imagine it will be great for sledding and skiing. Looking forward to putting it through its paces, but I am pleased, and confident it will keep my kiddos warm and cozy this winter. I am curious to see if they will reach for this balaclava over the one they often steal from me! lol

This balaclava hood is very soft and warm and my daughter loves the cute design. She's 2, so the hood is large on her, but not so roomy that it will not work in the short term while she grows into it. This could probably fit my wife, who is on the small side. I like that the face covering has some overlap so that it can be pulled and folded down easily. It's nice to stay covered but little kids get overwhelmed sometimes when they can't uncover their face - or have a snack. The material is soft and durable and has a little bit of a stretch to it like a quality fleece. My wife loves it too and wanted to get an adult size of this pattern to match when they are playing in the snow. We're in the northeast US where the winters can dlbe very cold, but I'm sure this will help keep our 2 year old warm and stay in place for some fun in the snow. I like that this material also doesn't get very cold when wet like cotton and dries and cleans easy. The neck gaiter part of this comes down far enough to tuck under a shirt or coat to seal in heat.

I have to say, if there's such a thing as a product being too good, this is it, as my son is now using a piece of sports equipment that I purchased for his cross-country ski season as a ninja mask. That being said, this is a perfect balaclava for a kid, and I feel as though it is quite perfect for a parent as well. The price and value of this item make it a sure-shot, easy choice when purchasing, but the quality will surprise you in a great way. You can see so in my pictures, but the seams, material, fit, and composition are all absolutely perfect. I feel as though this product could and would stand up to a far more pricey competitor easily. Obviously, I care about the quality, warmth, and price, but my son cares about the comfort, and it's so comfortable that, like I mentioned previously, he casually wears it around the house occasionally. This is a practice we'll have to stop in order to keep it in good shape for ski season. This is a repurchase/bookmark/make-note-of type of item—gems like this don't come along all the time in terms of quality, price, and appearance.

Super comfortable fleece lining keeps the inside cozy and not itchy. The mesh face mask keeps our kids face warm without overheating their face. It was tricky for them to get the mask on themselves so the head was not flopped over (they need a mirror to see how it is fitting on their head) but once it was on, the goggle hole stays in place, not sliding over the face and needing to be constantly adjusted. We have not done a full day test yet but it is warm enough to stand on its own or be part of a larger head warmth program if it is SUPER cold. We absolutely love the pink color as you can spot your kid from 200 yards away
