These chairs are great! I’ve bought 4 now as gifts for my kids’ school. They are using them to step outside and have a mask break due to Covid. It took me about 30 mins to put a chair together due to putting on pieces the wrong way and having to go back and fix them. My kids (3 & 5) enjoyed helping me put it together so it slowed the process down as well. I don’t think I would buy this for children 8 and older. It’s definitely a smaller chair. The chair arrived quickly and was easy to put together. It had a few rough spots but otherwise makes a great addition to our tv space so that small person can pretend to be a big person. I wanted something with a little weight and didn't go with the plastic ones since the older kids sometimes want to sit in the little people chairs and was concerned that a plastic chair would collapse with a "tween" trying to use it. The finish on the honey stained chair was a super thin layer of clear coat, possibly a single spray application. It looked and felt almost like raw wood. Based on the sheen in the picture, I was expecting a thicker stain and a smooth finish. The wood was not attractive, and the box I received was missing all the hardware (screws, etc...). I suppose this would be alright if you want a really cheap chair, but I wouldn't call this a good value even at the low price. ... show more

We were extremely disappointed to find out that two parts were missing on arrival. We contacted KidKraft we are told they were on back order and we could not get them. We already started putting the chair together and couldn’t get a replacement.

Overall this is a great little chair for a kid. My 2 1/2 yr old son loves sitting in it and it’s easy for him to get in and out of. The install was a little tougher than it should have been, mostly due to holes not lining up for the bolts. It was a little frustrating trying to put together but once complete, it’s a really good chair. Just takes a little extra elbow grease to get the finished product. ... show more

We bought 3 of these at Christmas - one for each child. We were immediately pleased with the look. And as time has passed, I can say that we are equally pleased with the durability. These chairs have been outside by our fire pit, in the playhouse, set out by the pool - basically drug all over and outside the whole time ... And they still look great! I also have a different brand Adirondack chair for myself that was bought at the same time; it hasn't had nearly the abuse these chairs have and it is in desperate need for a new coat of stain and we have had to tighten the bolts several times. The kids' chairs have held up MUCH better than mine. I would not buy this chair for a child that is much older than 7 though, it might be a bit too small. ... show more

The screw holes in the chair pieces are not in alignment on the separate parts that are supposed to be attached to one another. It is impossible to put it together. Do not buy.
