This bookshelf is really cute, but more importantly it is structurally sound!! It took me less than an hour to assemble, while tending to our 6 month old granddaughter. The parts are well marked and they give you a few extra parts ‘just in cases’ which is great! I had only one small issue with a screw hole that was too big, but I used one of the extra long screws along with some wood glue and tiny wood strips and it worked beautifully!! The instructions were easy to follow and the parts clearly marked. The only tool needed for the assembly of the dresser ...a Phillips screwdriver! We did need a drill bit and hammer to add the anchor for safety!! (PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU ANCHOR THE BOOKSHELF! Like a lot of furniture, it would be very dangerous if a child climbed on the bookshelf and it fell on them!! The anchor is included, PLEASE use it! The color is perfect for our little princess granddaughters!! If you have a Cricut, there are countless ways and options for adding personalized touches to the dresser!! We are pleasantly surprised at how many books fit on the bookcase!! The jewelry box on the top is perfect!! We highly recommend this bookshelf!! ... show more

    • Princess Bookcase fit for a Princess
I decided to get this for my daughter since she was starting kindergarten. It is a good size and fits great color wise into her Pink Lalaloopsy room. I even put some Lalaloopsy sticker vinyls on it and they stuck well without taking off the paint. My husband and I put it together (even though I mostly managed lol), but it was fairly easy only taking thirty minutes. The directions were very clear cut. She has many Dr.Seuss books but they only fit on the second and third shelf. The only books that fit on the first shelf that she has are the Little Critter stories. I hope this helps in giving you an idea of what can fit and what not. There is a little storage place at the very top that she keeps her DS games in. She also has a Lalaloopsy alarm clock that she keeps on the top. I highly recommend this bookcase for all Princesses. ... show more

    • Perfect bookcase for a small child (girl)
I purchased this bookcase for my granddaughter. It was a perfect choice. The product shipped fast and assembly took 1 hour. All parts were there and I had absolutely no trouble assembling it. For those of you who have trouble assembling things like this, I recommend looking over the entire set of pictures before you start. Frankly, it's a no brainer. I was impressed with the overall quality and value of this product. I am into woodworking and should have built this bookcase myself but ran out of time. I rated this product four stars for durability because it is not made out of hardwood but what do you expect for this price range. ... show more

All was pretty simple except step 1! Step one was not a good picture description. Other than that it was pretty easy to build. Got it all done within half an hour after figuring out step one for the first 15 minutes. 😬

This is a cute bookcase, a perfect fantasy piece. I bought it for my 7 year old step-daughter. i thought it was easy to assemble, it was sturdy, and looked great. it was of good quality for the price and i was not disappointed. my husband even said it looked great. definately something to make a young girl feel very special. as far as "no covers" for the hardware as another reviewer mentioned, the screw ends are painted the same colors as the bookcase so they don't stand out. (and your princess could care less about whether or not screws show in the bookcase.) final verdict: loved it! ... show more

    • Missing hardware, scratched parts, poor packaging.
I received a damaged one. The hardware box was already opened and only 30 out of 34 long screws and 3 out of 8 wooden studs are present in the mess. None of the short screws are there. The paint on 6 parts have been scratched. I think the scratched paint is from their poor packaging. I'm very upset with this product. Returning it. ... show more

I like this book case. It is made of wood and seems like it will last for a wile. My only criticism is that you cannot adjust the shelves. Many children's books are large, taller than the shelves. So, I have to put some books on the bottom shelf laying on their sides. I would however recommend it to a friend because when I shopped around I noticed all the book shelves had this problem. ... show more

There is nothing bad to say about the bookcase or the seller. My son had no problem putting it together and remarked what a quality piece it was. Every piece was nicely painted and went together smoothly. The bookcase was sent to their home by the seller and there was no hitch in that. It arrived as anticipated. I would not hesitate to buy from the seller again as this was my first purchase from them. My granddaughter immediately put her books and DVD's on it.
