We’ve been snorkeling for over 30 years and this was my first time using a snorkel vest and it was awesome! It keeps you afloat, so you can just hover instead of having to keep moving to stay afloat. We were in Aruba and hovered over sea turtles about 10’ below us for about 1/2 hour, just watching them and moving a few feet and seeing new ones. I would never have done that without the vest, as I would’ve gotten tired. Now don’t go crazy and get in the current of your not a strong swimmer, you still have to make it back to the shore! But the part they didn’t mention is that you can put it in the water and use it as a raft!! I used it at Baby Beach several times and just sat in the calm waters of Aruba while sipping on my margarita! Usually I use my raft and had forgotten it! It worked perfectly! Just enough buoyancy to keep me afloat! My husband loved his also! ... show more

Love this vest, made snorkeling a joy. It was easy to pack and easy to inflate. Initially it took a little time to understand and apply the straps on my legs to keep the vest from floating up. Lesson learned apply the straps while standing and make sure the Velcro contact is smooth and thorough. Once in place this vest was the absolute best. It allowed me to relax and float even in pretty consistent currents. I was able to sit vertically with my head above water to rest. That is when the leg straps came in to hold the vest in place. I was thankful for this little feature as I watched others struggle as their vests floated above them as they struggled at the surface. ... show more

Haven’t used it yet but they came in a timely manner. Neither one of the two we ordered had the thigh loops or leg loops for keeping the vest pulled down when you are in the water in a vertical position. I will update after we get to use them.

The vest portion is a zip up vest rather than the usual horse collar variety. It is more comfortable and doesn’t ride up like the other style of vest.

I tried it once, it did float but the opening around the neck is big and not very well fitted, so when I was trying to sit down inside the water the neck opening will reach up almost coving my face, to inflate it was easy, the assembly was very easy specially with the demonstration video, I don’t know how to swim so I’m using it to give myself courage to be in water. ... show more
