Works perfect in my LR3. you have to use GAP IID tool to program it but if you have the tool, this costs hundreds less than going to the dealership. In fact, dont go to the dealer, but a GAP tool and this key and do it yourself. It may cost a little more but then you have the GAP tool also

So i was a bit skeptical buying this but after bringing to a local locksmith and having it programmed last year i must say this key is quote stout. Works perfectly. 2008 Range Rover Sport.

All I had to do was have it cut, and then I was able to program it myself with Landrover compatible scan tool. Even the keyless entry works now.
