*DO NOT GET THIS RADIO IF YOU USE SPOTIFY* The spotify app on this radio essentially locks your phone and renders it useless as they expect you to navigate through your ENTIRE music library through the radio. The damn thing has the processing power of a toaster and you cant even search songs on the radio. I was able to get around the spotify issue by using the bluetooth audio input on the radio instead of the spotify input. This allows you to actually use the app on your phone and use the app to its full potential. Other than the really annoying spotify issue the radio takes a while to connect to your phone. About 20-30 seconds or so sometimes when you start the car up, kinda ridiculous in 2018... The good thing about the radio is there is plenty of sounds adjustments you can make, it plays music very well. I replaced my old radio with this one with stock speakers and it sounded WAY better. Overall, the radio its pretty good, but could be really good except for some small dumb things like the spotify app and the connection time ... show more

I ended up having this professionally installed in my 2003 Yukon Denali the only reason I give it 4 stars is because it has a very slow startup time to where my phone plays without the stereo while it still attempts to search for connection there seems to be a 30 second delay but the system fit perfectly and sounds great once I did some adjustments to The Equalizer because I have a sub and an amp in my truck so without a few adjustments the base was insane and distorted at low volume levels ... show more

Love it and have had no issues but its unfortunate that the manufacturer made these without a 3.5 auxiliary input. I'm not able to use my mp3 on it. Strange considering how many people utilize such a connection. I rarely listen to any radio stations but now I'm put in the position to decide to go without my own music or spend even more money on a flash drive large enough for my music library which is rather costly.     • Nice Radio but Hard to install
Overall this is a VERY nice radio. It has just about every feature you could ever want including the option to add in a backup camera if desired. However, the thing was a bugger to install in my 2006 Jeep Grand Chereokee. First of all you had to purchase an additional $50 wiring harness plus the mount kit that we had to special order, and then when we went to put everything back together the screw holes would not line up and we had to fight with it. I don't think the problems were the radio's fault but it was not the easiest thing in the world to install for sure. ... show more

    • Solid unit with later model/OS android incompatibility issues.
*USB features not compatible with Samsung S8, Note 8, S9. Also, presumably Note 9 will not work with it when it's released. I'm fairly confident that most newer phones will have compatibility issues as well.* Decent double din with a clean interface. No issues installing in my 2016 Nissan Versa Note. If the USB compatibility issues mentioned above don't effect you I'd highly recommend this to most people but only on sale. ... show more

    • It's a JVC unit. Important info to note.
This unit is actually packed with a lot of useful features for techs who like to play around with sound adjustments but the unit I got has intermitted bluetooth connection issues. Cuts on and off. Seems like it tries to auto connect with everything that's open. While it waits for connection authorization, it'll interfere with what's already connected. I turned off the auto connect and noted no problem than but I never had this problem before with other head units. Also noted post purchase that this is actually a JVC head unit being resold under the Kenwwod brand. This is not really a problem until you try and install a steering wheel control module. Very good stereo deck. I just wish I would’ve bought the back up camera with it. I installed it in about an hour. I didn’t have to buy a wiring harness because I had already bought one for the previous stereo deck. Movies play and look good on the screen. Very nice and worth the money to me. Connecting Bluetooth is fast and easy. At night if the screen is to bright you can dim it or turn screen off completely and just the volume buttons stay lit up. ... show more
