There are many problems with this washer, which apparently these problems may be similar in all newer model top load washers. The bottom line result of these problems is that clothes are not getting cleaned, clothes are leaving the washer extremely wrinkled and twisted, and clothes have lots of "marks" alll over, none of which were the case with older models of top load washers. 1. The new top load washer doesn't get enough water to wash the clothes properly. This is mainly due to government requirements to save water and energy. This problem also leaves the clothes very wrinkled and twited. 2. The "new" agitator is now one piece instead of the previous 2 piece agitator. Older washing machine models have enough water in the drum where the bottom piece of the agitator did the "washing" and the top piece of the agitator moved the clothes down to the bottom to be washed. Since the new washers don't have enough water or the two piece agitator, the clothes that do get wet and stay at the bottom to be washed are good, but the rest of the clothes that are not under water are not getting washed or moved to the bottom to be washed. This problem is also leaving the clothes very wrinkled and twisted. 3. The spin cycles are extremly fast, which is good for getting the water out of the clothes in order to reduce drying time (saving energy), but the spin is also leaving the clothes very wrinkled and twisted.
