  • I love this thing!
Color: Black
Great product for the money! It moves around on wheels where you go. The quality is great! It is light weight and easy to use! I love the retractable power cord! The only thing I wish is the attachments stayed in the bin better. But the smaller ones do so I'm happy with it! It does such a good job! I use it all around my house and car! ... show more

  • Eureka WhirlWind vs Bissell Zing
Color: Black
I very rarely write reviews, but I felt obligated to do so today after using the Eureka WhirlWind that was delivered today from Amazon. Yesterday when ordering this machine after my 3-year old Bissell Zing finally bit the dust with the smell of burning plastic and loss of almost all suction, I was looking for a review like THIS ONE to let me know if I should buy the same Bissell Zing again (the devil you know) or try this Eureka WhirlWind out (the devil you don’t). For those looking for a fast answer, I will tell you right now, the Eureka WhirlWind won by a mile. This is a far superior machine and comparatively priced. For those who are looking for the reasons I feel this way I have quite a bit to write. At the beginning of the pandemic, 3 years ago, I was forced to downsize my living space significantly. I moved from a very large multiple level place to a small apartment of 500 square feet. Like everyone else during the beginning of the pandemic I was forced to buy pretty much everything online. When I moved into my new place I ordered 4 area rugs from Amazon and chose high pile shag rugs (all are in my photos) as well as a no pile indoor/outdoor rug for the bathroom. My old upright vacuum cleaner from the old place would have handled these rugs wonderfully, but it was too huge to store anywhere in my new place, so I had to give it away. What I needed was a small vacuum cleaner that could be broken apart in sections and stored under the kitchen sink. I found the Bissell Zing on Amazon and ordered it immediately. When it arrived it seemed to fit the bill. It was the right size and easy to store. But right from the first use on my high pile shag rugs and it was a struggle. The Zing was very limited- did not move easily along the shag rugs and really seemed to do a poor job. Vacuuming was HARD and it was not fun- it was like an aerobic workout and the rugs never seemed to be fully free of my cat’s hair and my long hair. Still it was all I had and I just lived with it. Also with the Zing, which is bagless, like the Eureka WhirlWind, the filter was a paper honeycomb-like thing, which I hated right away. It was not easy to clean at all. I truly hated cleaning that filter! So ok, that’s what I was dealing with and I vacuumed about once a week, hating the process. After less than a year the extension wand sections, which were plastic, began to crack. It may have been all of the pressure I was forced to use to vacuum the shag rugs. Maybe if I had just low pile rugs or floors that might not have happened. But it did. It made vacuuming ever HARDER. Oh, what a chore. I got out my friendly duct tape, bandaged the plastic and resumed and went on this way for another 2 years until yesterday when I plugged in the Zing and started vacuuming and heard an unhappy sound from the motor and smelled burning plastic. Then I lost almost all suction. It had been used approximately 150 times on the rugs and floors shown in my photos. I threw it in the trash. Since my main concern was being able to store it under my kitchen sink, I could find only 2 options under $100 here on Amazon- another Zing or the Eureka Whirlwind. I read all reviews for both. I knew the Zing quite well and knew it’s limitations and was scared to get stuck with something worse (god forbid!) but I went with the Eureka WhirlWind instead. Mind you, there are a million better vacuums out there & more money will get a better machine, but the Eureka Whirlwind is much better then the Zing for MANY reasons. First of all, it was simple & brainless to put together. I think the Zing was simple as well. But as soon as I used it today it was OBVIOUS to me how much stronger the suction was and I did not have to struggle in the same was as I did with the Zing to get it across my high pile rugs. It picked up MUCH more and I honestly think my rugs got the best vacuum they have ever experienced. They are cleaner with the WhirlWind and it was EASIER to vacuum with the Whirlwind. Other features that I found make the WhirlWind better: The extension wand is METAL with the WhirlWind, not plastic, like the Zing. So even if I had to apply the same kind of pressure, the wand is stronger and will not crack. Also, the cord is 2 feet longer than the Zing, meaning I only have to plug it in to one outlet to do my whole place. But another thing I find incredible is NO MORE honeycomb paper filter! Thank goodness! The filter on this Whirlwind is FLAT and appears so much easier to wash. Hallelujah. My vacuuming experience just now with the Whirlwind took 1/2 of the time than it took with the Zing and came out cleaner and it took less physical effort from me. So that is something you should know. This is an EXCELLENT low priced, basic, small vacuum. I will do my best to update this review only if something goes wrong and I end up hating the WhirlWind,, but so far I am thankful I did not get another Zing. ... show more

  • Good for the Price
Color: Green
I've had this vacuum for a while now, and I think for the price it's a good little machine. I have a larger shop vac that I use for bigger jobs, but for small spills, for cleaning out my darkroom sink, and for the occasional mess that one of my five cats might make, it's good. On the downside, like most shop vacs, the hose and attachments, excuse the pun, suck. Seriously, I don't know why hoses and other accessories for shop vacs are so poorly designed, but it's probably something to do with cost efficiency. The other thing is the wet filter is very flimsy, and so small that I put my finger through it while trying to put it in place the first time I used it. So handle it very carefully, because they resell for $7.00 dollars! I am going to buy some other larger, less expensive filter and make do. ... show more

  • Great vacuum
Color: Green
Love this vacuum! The price is great. The wheels make it easy to use. It follows you when you vacuum. It’s light weight and easy to move around. It comes with wet and dry filters, plus one bag. The attachments are great. No complaints! If you are on the fence about ordering this, do it. You won’t regret it. ... show more

  • It’s alright but could definitely use some improvements.
Color: Black
I bought this vacuum to replace my shop vac that I used for everything and loved. My shop vac never lost any suction power until right before it quit. I used it in the house, on cars, removing spiderwebs on my porch, and used the reverse as a blower to clean leaves off my porch and flowerbeds, as well as blowing up inflatables to use at the lake and an air mattress for the occasional visitor. I was shopping for a replacement for what I had, and came across this one that was a wet/dry vacuum but was made for what looked like mostly indoor use. Which was my main need was for in the house. I saw it had a few attachments and was able to use the no interest Amazon financing which is great for bigger purchases. So I got it. Not real impressed. It was easy to assemble and I like the storage for the attachments and my favorite feature is the push button retractable cord. But the suction power was not even close to what I was used to. And the hard floor attachment is not ideal, and very awkward to use. I wish the hard floor attachment had a brush and wheels to effectively pick up more. ... show more

  • Best I've found in 40 years
Color: Black
I purchased this 1 year ago now. I love love love it. Years ago I had one much like it, but it was steel (those days are gone) and was a high end vacuum. I also had a house with central vacuum way back when which was cool but both of those actually cost much more than this. This Kenmore canister vac is everything it claims and more. It is easily maneuverable, lightweight, powerful suction, long power cord that recoils with a push button, extension wand easily lengthened or retracted, nice long vacuum hose let's you reach anywhere. I've had no issues with anything breaking or cracking or malfunctioning and frankly I'm not gentle with it so I'd call it quite durable. Dry vacuum or wet vacuum, use as a house vac and a shop vac. You can use a bag for the house vacuuming, the bags are quite large and hold a lot, and it will absolutely kick out no dust on you. Or use no bag, shop vac style. Take out the bag and filter and use it to pick up a wet mess. I can't praise it enough especially compared to whatever else is out there. I've gone through many other vacuums over the years, all with known names and promises of high quality, but this is the only one I've been happy with in the last 40 years. ... show more
