I'm a locator in Wyoming and have had an old pair for two years and they are still water proof to this day. I would like to think I put on way more miles than even an above average hunter. These boots fit true to size and are a nice snug boot with awesome ankle support that cinches around your heel and ankle. This was the most I've ever spent on a boot. I was trying to decide between Crispi's and these. (never wore either before still haven't tried Crispi's so I can't compare them) I had a hunt in the mountains of Arizona and got these. I wore them a few times in an attempt to break them in. To my surprise, they didn't need any break in. I believe you could buy these and never wear them and take them out of the box on your hunt and be fine. I did purchase their boot wax. It turned the leather a much darker color, but I didn't mind. I feel like a goat in the mountain with these. They grip, support your ankles, and have been very durable. I love them. ... show more

In addition those who struggle with heel and arch pain, plantar fasciitis, will also benefit due to the rigidity of the sole and the heights of the heel. These are the most comfortable boots I have ever owned. For the last ten years I've worn Danner's, and honestly have been rather disappointed in some of the failures I had. I wanted a boot that could handle many years of work on hunts where a lot of walking was required, from small game to elk. Initially, the fit was comfortable right away, but definitely needed to be broken in. I've had them for several months now and love them. Being a boot designed for use in the mountains while hiking the sole is stiffer than your normal boot. With this stiffer sole I've found my feet do not feel worn out and sore after a long day of hiking. I also find myself wanting to wear them for everyday instead of my Danners. Kenetreks are sized using the branek device and fit very true. I know the price tag is kind of hard to swallow, but at this point, I'm considering getting another pair of Kenetrek's for work. ... show more
