The gold satin brushed finish is nice. The pendant itself is lovely for everyday at its price. I would have rated it higher were I not 5'8" tall as the necklace appears Lilliputian on me in my opinion. If one is petite it may be ideal. I'm not unhappy with it -- just wish it were a bit larger. I very much like the simplicity of the design and the fact that it is not shiny. It looks very nice with a tee-shirt or simple button down.
