This is the standard set someone uses when they just start out in pottery. The Kemper quality is good for the price point though they also make more professional versions for more experienced potters. Has everything needed for beginning wheel work.

I need these tools for pottery and was disappointed when I received them. They are supposed to be Kemper tools and the handles are pictured as dark wood. Nowhere are they marked with the Kemper name, so who knows who the manufacturer actually is. Are these knock-off tools at an inflated price? Also the wood is of a light variety and has a thin varnish on it. This is not as expected or as pictured. Very disappointing. ... show more

    • Cheap, low quality tool kit
I have used the Kemper tools for many years and I continue to use them because they are made in the USA, they are of good quality, and they last a long time. The tools that were shipped are cheaper, low quality tools made in China. Very disappointing for not only me but my ceramic students who were counting on quality tools. I don't expect theses tools to last much more than a year. I caution any who order these tools and it makes me wonder about the other products the seller is offering. ... show more
