I used this for a different DIY purpose, however this item oozes high quality. Very rigid, and very sturdy, but also easy to adjust and then clamp down again. I don't see how this wouldn't fit the bill for a boat.

This has been on my kayak for a few months and it's not made for the summer heat in Vegas. If you want to reinstall one after ever summer season or live some place cloudy, it's fine. Otherwise, the quality wasn't there for me.

I have not installed the mount yet. Still rethinking the trolling motor purchase but the mount appears to be easy to install and very versatile. Mount isn't made of high quality material but it appears to serve it's purpose well. My only issue is the hardware size and mounting it on a fiber glass boat , I question the durability. Value is good.
