The fit is spot on with a nice wide toe (US woman's 7), waterproof. Comfortable from day one, no wearing in needed. I have a pair of the walking/tramping shoes but felt I needed the tramping boot for better stability around the ankles on some trails/Tracks. Fabulous, great durability. This is my third pair of Keens and I'd highly recommend them.

I have never owned KEENs before. I do however have wide feet and toes that like to splay out. I love to hike especially in the mountains. If you’ve ever hiked inclines, you know how unfortunate it feels to have squished and bruised toes. I debated on a size 8 or 8w. I decided to go for the 8w. I will say they are very wide. For me, I love this. But I want to give the disclosure that I believe the regular size also runs a little wide as well. The insoles in these are a dream. Not memory foam soft, but comfortable right out of the box. They are sturdy enough to feel like you have enough support. I LOVE that these have a strap on the side. This allows you to tighten the boots around your ankle and keeps your feet from pushing to the front of the boot. For inclines, this is so so important. The arch support is phenomenal. These are very waterproof from what I have tested them in. Puddles and small streams mainly. KEEN as a brand have been pfas free since 2018 and keep the environment in mind when making products. Overall very happy with the purchase, price point, and company as a whole.

This is my second pair. The first pair I bought from a retailer I still use on less hilly terrain as I've worn down the tread. I've easily hiked 700 humocky miles and some road walks, in all kids of weather, with my first pair. I liked them so much that I bought a second pair thru Amazon. These are not waterproof boots. I'd say more water resistant. It helps to occassionally (at least annually) clean and condition the leather boots with a proper leather cleaner to retain the water repelancy and leather's condition thus extending the life of the boot. The insoles can be removed for easy drying or if you need to insert an orthodic or a replacement insole. The soles grip nicely to rugged trails. The boots provide good ankle support and offer great toe protection from rocks, roots, stumps, etc. The wide toe box allows my toes room for expansion in hot summer or for heavier socks in winter.

A Swiss Army Knife for Your Feet. As an avid hiker, I embarked on a solo adventure to Switzerland, where I put Keen's women's hiking boots to the ultimate test. These boots are a dream to wear. They provide exceptional arch support and cushioning, making them a joy to hike in for hours on end. The padded collar and tongue prevent chafing and offer a snug fit. Switzerland's unpredictable weather was no match for these boots. They kept my feet bone-dry through torrential downpours, snow-covered trails, and muddy bogs. The breathable construction allowed my feet to stay cool and comfortable even during strenuous ascents. Not only did these boots excel in Switzerland, but I've also been using them for swamp trails in Florida. They effectively protect my feet from water, thorns, and debris. Their versatility makes them a must-have for any outdoor enthusiast. Cons: Slippery on wet flagstone and sugar sand. The treads on the soles do not provide adequate traction on these specific surfaces, leading to a lack of grip and potential for slipping. Ask me how I know, LOL...

I bought the hiking boots for my trip to Iceland. They were comfortable and perfect for the roughed terrain that I hiked. They fit my feet well and choose them over other boots that didn’t feel comfortable right from the beginning. Despite harsh conditions they still look great

These boots JUST arrived, so I've no idea of how they'll fit and wear ... BUT the first thing I noticed is the color. On Amazon Magnet/Atlantic Blue looks olive with blue. I really wanted gray, but for the price, which was great!, I went ahead and ordered them. Guess what! They are not olive/blue ... they're dark gray/lt.blue! I love it! How about that! - I've always loved Keens, so I am hopeful that they'll be comfortable and well made. Maybe I'll comment more after wearing them for a few days. :-)

EDIT: Once I notified Keens of the poor quality of these boots and submitted a warranty claim with copious photos, they gave me a credit for a new pair from their website directly. The credit was for more than $50 over my original price. I ordered and received the new boots in less than a week and though they are the newer iteration of the Targee model, they are definitely an upgrade. Much thicker material, actual real leather, where the other ones cracked. I'm cautiously optimistic. I wanted to give the whole story, hence the edit. I do feel it's safe to trust them if they continue to stand by their product. At first glance (and wear) these boots were amazing! Fit perfectly right out of the box, no breaking in at all! Problem is over time, only 5 months, and just 3 miles every day, they’re cracking and leaking. Definitely not waterproof any more. I do not recommend this brand, such a shame.
