So a month ago I bought and returned these because when I tried them on they felt ridiculously narrow and tight. Plus I went a half size bigger because I walk a lot and wanted to ensure comfort. I was so upset with Keen because my new regular hiking boots (targhee II) were too small after buying the same pair I always get, and I had to go another half size bigger and now I feel like I'm in clown shoes and it's embarrassing, when I'm usually strutting my keens. Anyhoooo...I really wanted these blue shoes. I decided to go another half size bigger and it turned out I accidentally bought the same size I had returned a month ago. This time I opened the laces up and spent a half day around my house in them...and that's when I realized they actually fit pretty well. Just had to loosen the laces. They actually slip on and off after a week and I don't even have to tie em up. They still feel like a teeny bit too small in the length and today my toe slammed the front...and that triggered me into remembering my targhees and how they usually are too big at this size and now they're too small, and I haven't gained a bunch of foot fat...but overall I am pleased with my blue keens and glad I finally got a pair before they all sold out, as it normally happens. P.S. Deer Keen, if you're going to be so darn expensive, don't change up the sizing on us. We rely on you that way. We need to know when we're out on the trail or have an impulse to buy, we can count on the size and fit we trust.

I have had many pairs of Keens over the years, and had been eyeing different incarnations of the Jasper shoe for a long time. This was the first opportunity that I could get a pair that would fit my feet in a color I actually liked, so I went for it. I *want* to love them, but I don't... A couple cons: I had read reviews that they ran small, so I ordered pairs in 2 sizes: a half and a full size larger than my normal size in Keens. I ultimately went a full size larger, because it was the pair I could walk in without my toes touching the front of the show. A full size larger than my normal size is a little big, but I can walk in them, and the shoes have enough lace that I can tie them tighter if need be. For reference, the photo includes one of these shoes, a full size larger than I normally wear (on the left), and one of the Keen boots I bought this winter in my normal size (on the right). I also wouldn't use these as an approach shoe, or for any large amount of walking. The sole is pretty thin, and it feels more like a minimalist shoe when walking around my urban neighborhood. I almost feel like I'm wearing my less aggressive climbing shoes (which are comfortable... for climbing shoes), so I don't think I'd ever actually wear them as an approach shoe when I have better options available (e.g. my other Keen shoes). Pro: They're cute, and they're not as bulky as other casual "not quite for hiking" shoes. I'll keep them and I'll wear them, I just probably won't walk miles at a time in them.

I usually wear 7.5 size shoes but with these I actually got 7.5 - 8 - 8.5 to try….the 8 was the best fit so I recommend a half size up. They are super cute and comfortable. As keens usually are. My feet are narrow with my second toe longer than My big toe.

I did not size up and I am so thankful as my regular size fit just fine. Really cute but have not walked in them a lot so cant comment on that.
