  • Excellent boots all round - traction, comfort, warmth and waterproof
Size: 10 Color: Toasted Coconut/North Atlantic
These boots served me well in Norway on a long arduous hike. They never slipped at all on wet boulders. They were easy to break in and I am so happy I bought them. These are the first Keens I have owned and I am beyond pleased. Also the waterproofing was tested and they passed with flying colors. I was warm even in sleet and 30 degree temp at the top. ... show more

  • Great and versatile shoe
Size: 8 Color: Toasted Coconut/North Atlantic
Just as described! Super comfortable and durable, light weight as well. I love the color! Can’t wait to get some wear out of these! I was nervous buying online and not being able to try on, but they fit TTS. Great traction and grip as well.

  • Weird arch support…where it should not be.
Size: 9.5 Color: Syrup/Boysenberry
I am sending them back. Cute boots and like the color, but as far as my experience goes that is the extent of it. They were not the easiest to slip on, for starters. I could have overlooked that but the shape of the arch had the support in all the wrong places. Maybe I got a defective pair, but I’m not taking a chance. ... show more

  • Solid boot
Size: 11 Color: Steel Grey/Cloud Blue
As is typical of Keen, the toe box is nice and wide. I struggled a bit to get my left foot into the boot as the tongue doesn’t lift all the way up. I’m guessing this is to keep the boot waterproof. My left foot has been through some trauma and surgeries, so it was a struggle to bend my foot enough to slide it in. But with some wiggling, I was able to get it in. The top of the boot is a bit tight over the mid top of my left foot. But again, my foot has had some struggles. It isn’t painful, so I’m going to wear them around the house for a few days to see if it loosens up as I break them in. My right foot felt great! I swapped the insoles out for my custom orthotics, and while the left is still a tad tight, things feel better. Nice ankle support (I had hardware in my ankle and have a history of fractures so I’m prone to rolling my ankle- ankle support is a must for me). My old hiking boots were Ahnu’s and I was struggling over whether to buy these Keens or not as historically, I’ve felt Keens were heavy and clunky. They do feel a bit clunkier than am used to, but for the sale price, it’s not a full stop for me. I wish I could have got a half size bigger as I don’t think I will be able to wear super thick socks, but I tried them on with medium weight smart wool socks and my big toes were not touching the end. The real test will be going downhill, so we’ll see how they do next weekend. Overall, I think I will be happy with them once they wear in. ... show more

  • I love Keens! Roomy and long-wearing
Size: 7.5 Color: Syrup/Boysenberry
Like all of my Keens, these are roomy boots with plenty of space for my orthotics and a high arch insole. Buy your correct shoe size. I’m not certain how waterproof they are, though. My foot got a little wet just watering plants. They are a bit more stiff than my other Keens, or not as padded. But a short period of breaking them in seems to be taking care of that. These were a great deal on sale and I’m happy with them. I have had a total of 7 pairs of Keens over the years and recommend them for walking and hiking. They are very lightweight. ... show more

  • Run big but are definitely waterproof!!
Size: 8 Color: Toasted Coconut/North Atlantic
There’s a few things to know before ordering these boots. 1. They run big. I normally wear a size 9 in women’s shoes but in these boots I wear an 8. 2. They are the best fitting Keens I have ever own. This boot fits shockingly well around my ankle. And 3. They are definitely waterproof. While cleaning off vehicles in 9 inches of snow, my socks stayed completely dry!! (I was wearing boot cut jeans NOT the skinny legged jeans most people wear today. Believe me, it makes a difference.) ... show more

  • Awful
These are pretty much some of the worst Keens I’ve ever had on my feet. They are hard. They are so stiff. The sole is thin. Every bad review I read before buying them were true. I wore them around the house for days trying to break them in before I took them on a hike. I finally hiked in them last night and I could feel every rock through them. Save your money. Don’t be like me and fall for the good reviews. ... show more

  • Very snug boot that is not wide over the instep of my foot.
Size: 8.5 Color: Steel Grey/Cloud Blue
I bought a few pairs of wide boots to try for my middle-aged feet. Lengthwise, an 8.5 generally fits me well, but I have a high arch and instep and need a wide toe box at the end, not just where the toes meet the foot and the ball of my foot. I was hopeful. I am not going to be able to wear these boots, so I will be returning them. Here are the reasons they don't work for me. I had read in another review that the sides of this boot and the tongue were stitched together, and I found that to mean that there is a very narrow "neck" of the boot through which I could barely shove a foot, much less one wearing any thickness of sock. Once on, the boot was so tight over the instep that it was immediately uncomfortable. The length of the footbed was great. I forgot to pay attention to the toe box over my long fourth toe as I was so ready to relieve my foot of its pain. I only tried on one boot, starting with my more problematic left foot. Perhaps my feet just don't fit women's shoes anymore, but surely I'm not the only one struggling to find something in my size when men's shoes in the 7 and 7.5 sizes and wide are very rarely. I'm on the chubby side but not obese, for what it matters. ... show more
