    • Do not order based on the Euro size!

The toe boxes on these size 11 boots are perfect! Never again will I buy tapered toe boots. I have long, straight toes. I can wear women’s size 10 narrow leather (R……t) flats simply because they are rectangular. I can also wear size 11 (a….s) cloud foam sneakers that show they are equivalent to Euro size 44, so do not go by Keen’s Euro size 42. Often, Euro size 43 is too short for me. Only measure your heel to toe inches and buy Keen boots that are a ½ inch longer than your measurement. I measure 10 inches heel to toe, so the 10½ inches for size 11 Keen boots is perfect as I wear nylon liner socks, thick wool socks and custom orthotics. I love the mostly black color of these boots because they can be for knocking around and hiking. I only take a carry-on suitcase and a backpack wherever I go, so I just wear my hiking boots during travel. ... show more

These boots have excellent treads for walking in snow - good "bite." They are as warm as I expected them to be. Sizing is quite accurate (use Keen's "measure your foot" chart, it's better than guessing). My problem, which I discovered after a few dirty hikes and could not return, is that there is not enough room in the instep. They are too tight at the "break point" where your foot bends. It presses on the top of the foot, and pushes the ball of the foot into the bottom of the boot. I have average-to-slightly high arches and average width feet. I tried a half-size up, ordered directly from Keen in case the black pair I ordered was different from the blue/green, and to determine whether I had chosen the wrong size, but the same tightness in the forefoot was present in the blue/green version. Unfortunately, loosening the laces doesn't help, it's built in, there's a seam there. It also doesn't stretch out or break in. Otherwise, these would be really great boots. If you buy them, please pay close attention to how they feel on your foot - just under where the lacing begins. ... show more

I have always loved Keen shoes. I had foot surgery and needed it for my arch (a very high one). I needed new work boots. I figured that I should get a pair of Keens. I received these quicker than I thought. I found that these are a little hard to put on because the tongue was sewn to the boot. One of the downfalls was that I have to wear a thinner sock to wear and my toes still feel a little tight. Figured I just need to break them in. I have only worn them about 4 times. ... show more

I was looking for a warm boot that was comfortable for long-time day use on winter trips. I do believe these would be very warm and a big selling point for me was that the insoles are insulated. These boots just did not work for me. I am giving it 4 stars only because the eyelet hooks are plastic and not metal. I’ve been buying original-fit Keen shoes for years because they’re about the only shoe that will fit my toe-bed (my second toes are longer than the first) and narrow heel. I also need a true size 12, which is hard to find. I like to spend time in the San Bernardino Mountains and quite often there is a bit of snow and ice on the ground. These boots did very well, especially in the icy patches. There’s a marked difference between the soles of my other Keen hiking shoes and these. All in all, I think they’re great shoes. ... show more

I bought these boots for a hiking trip to the Grand Canyon. I wanted to have something that was waterproof in case it would rain. I didn't anticipate it was going to snow the 3 days I was there! But these boots kept my feet dry and warm during my hikes. I did not have to break them in and they fit as expected. It was also easy to wear my spikes with these boots to get through the snow and ice. Without the spikes they were still very grippy, even on the muddy parts of the trail. ... show more

This is not for a wide footed person. The fact that it's waterproof made it so the tongue was attached at the sides. Other than that the length was fine but I couldn't keep them.
