I am disappointed because I really wanted to like this boot. It's definitely lightweight, seemingly good leather, and a pretty comfortable sole. Unfortunately, for me the tongue created a painful pressure point at the top corners where it tucks under the collar/upper. Because of the shape of the tongue and how it nests against the stiff upper it really dug into where my shin meets the ankle. It was especially painful when my ankle flexed upward while walking. I didn't seem to matter how tight or loose I laced them, the pain was consistent. It's possible that there was something wrong with the pair I received, but everything externally looked fine to me. I wore them a handful of times trying to "break it in" with no success. Fortunately I was able to return and get a refund with 30 days. ... show more

I was so hoping that these were going to work for my wide feet. I have EEE feet and in the past Keen have been reliable for finding a comfortable hiking boot that didn’t constrict my toe box and arch. I’m needed a new pair and unfortunately the width isn’t there. I considered putting shoe stretchers in there though because if they weren’t so narrow I they would be five star boots for sure. Super comfortable, pretty lightweight, good looking materials and color. There’s an inner sock in there that I’ve never seen Keen do before which is a great plus. My foot locks in there nicely and everything feels supported and comfortable, the traction and grip feel strong. ... show more

Husband claims they are comfortable. He has wide feet, low arches, and usually wears size 12.5. At the time of ordering, the size options were limited, and 12.5 was not an option. We selected size 13, reasoning that this could give him more width (as opposed to ordering size 11.5) and if they were too roomy, he could double up on socks. My husband is outside all day and needs boots that are supportive yet lightweight, and these seem to have fit the bill. He was very impressed with how light these felt on his feet. Super lightweight considering they are leather. I usually wear a 9 wide women’s and got a men’s 8. Fits perfect (touch large but fits great with thick socks). If you’re a men’s wide (think EEEE) these probably aren’t quite wide enough for you. Very supportive around the ankle. Waterproof enough to galavant out in the snow with good traction.
