KEEN products are consciously created using PFC-free water repellent (in applicable styles) and leather sourced from Leather Working Group (LWG)-certified tanneries. Pictures are my old Keen's to the left and the new to the right to illustrate the differences. This is my 4th pair of Keen hiking boots. 2 Targhees, 1 Voyager, and now the Circadia. I love some of the improvements with the Circadia. The new bottoms are great. They are one piece at the edge. After 2 years of moderate use, my old Keen's came unglued there. Also there are improvements to the toe area. My last 2 pairs came unglued there (it was after 3 years of moderate use). The new ones have another layer under the wrapped toe. This layer is stitched down. Hopefully the rubber adheres better to this than it does to just leather. The maiden voyage for these Circadia was great. Less slippage. Less issues with mud clogging up the bottom. And we went down some steep, Muddy, Rocky trails. I love the water resistance. My feet stayed dry even after walking thru a small stream. My feet always say, "ah" when I put Keens on. I wear Keen dress shoes too😊 06/03/23 Note: I wore them without a sock and a liner for the first time. I got a hot spot on my toe. Wide, comfortable and flexible, but the tongue tends to lean forward. I wish it would stay in place, especially if I had to go through water. I wouldn’t get these without some water shoes for backup if doing streams, falls, creeks etc. Has grippy bottoms, good laces and look great. Decent shoes overall. ... show more

Went on a photo shoot along the Oregon coast and the redwood forest. Lots of tough hiking along the cliffs and the wood trail. These shoes stayed snug and tight during some very long days.

My first pair of Keens. It was a toss up between these and the targhee iii's. These Circadias arrived today and they fit very well out of the box. I've only worn them for 1 trip to the grocery store (shhhh I'll wear them on a short hike in the bush tomorrow). They fit my feet very well out of the box. Lacing them up properly really gave my feet and ankles robust support. My toes were able to spread apart for support with each step. When properly laced up each step was made with confidence on flat surfaces. (I'll update when I'm able to hit some more uneven terrain). My only complaint is the color. I thought I ordered a light colored boot. What I received was anything but that. I'll post some natural light pictures tomorrow. Also, I know these boots are meant more for their usefulness as a tool than as a "designer/fashion " boot, but my pair arrived dirty with glue stains all over the foam cushion. Would have been nice if they were cleaned on the assembly line. Other than the color I luv these boots. I might order a pair of the targhee III's for more challenging terrain. ... show more

Not the "Keens" of old. Since the company began producing footwear in china and india the comfort level has diminished significantly. I used to put on a new pair and be amazed at how comfortable they are. Now I can't w8 2 get them off. Won't make this error again.
