Ok, so when you get this, it’s as flat as a piece of paper. Completely deceiving packaging. I figured once I opened the vacuum sealed packaged it would plump up. It did not. I started a return, then decided to see if water would expand it. IT DID! Soak the sponges! I put them all in the sink and ran water over them so they would expand. Some of the edges stuck a little bit, but if you pull gently, they’ll separate. It’s actually very thick and supportive! Great sponge to add for newborn support in the baby bathtub. Easy to just wring out and hang to dry. Definitely recommend!

Great to use on countertop for when baby still has umbilical cord attached! We ended up using the sponges as the bottle sponges and now cut up the larger bath mat as sponges for her bottles! Soft and durable!

I used similar foam bath mats 40 years ago for my children which I made myself. They were so much easier than those big hard baby bathtubs and was usable much longer as the baby grows. In my opinion, it is still better today. My only recommendation is to have the foam angled slightly so the head sits higher. Overall it works great, drys quickly and is foldable if you need to store it away.
