Looking at the KBCSun 24-in-1 set, considering the build quality, comparing the prices, examining what is included - this is better in most ways than the Fix It Sticks (FIS) Compact Ratcheting Multi-Tool (with 15 bits). Both are great tools ... still, I give this one the edge. First of, both tool sets are ratcheting with a fine torque/twist increment that allows for precision work. The FIS have a manual twist "wheel" at the top that allows for fine torque. The KBCSun does not have this. However, I don't really see the need for this. All fine adjustments can be done by torquing the wrench. Both tool sets are configurable with the ratchet extensions. FIS has one removable extension on the the bottom socket that fits into either side socket as well. The KBCSun also does this ... however, the two side extensions are also removeable. So, there are three extensions that can be combined for more possibilities. Also, removing the bottom extension allows a bit to be placed directly into its socket creating a low profile ratchet. The FIS still has that bottom locking base that cannot be removed. However, the FIS bottom socket does lock any bit / extension placed in it. Both tool sets are magnetic allowing easy adding or removing of bits / extensions. The FIS does come with a prybar attachment that the KBCSun does not have. I don't see the point in using a prybar on a precision ratchet. FIS has 15 bits plus the prybar (extension, case, ratchet not included) for a total of 16 bits. That said, the KBCSun includes 24 bits (same not included in the sum). Finally, the FIS have a very compact silicone "block" that holds everything securely together. This is absolutely no room for extras or additions. KBCSun comes with a much larger bit type plastic case that doesn't "legitimately" have room for extras, either (possibly if you put extra bits or extensions in loosely they would fit). Everything fits nicely in both cases, but the FIS is really convenient in this respect. Now, look at the prices. FIS is about 80 dollars US, and KBCSun is about 20 dollars US. For 60 dollars US less, the KBCSun is a really good deal. HOWEVER (a BIG however), if you plan on using a larger kit with some of the other additions for guns, jewelry, etc (with the torque limiters and other things), I love the FIS 15-65 Kit for about 155 dollars US. It comes with a nice case, two tools (one ratcheting), an adjustable torque limiter, and a few other bits for more precise bits and extras. You can always add the extra bits to KBCSun, but the price really adds up for some of those extra items. The case is likely the deciding factor as it fits everything neatly. FIS has the edge there.

So I would put this somewhere between "useful" and "gimicky". It's nice and compact while having most of the bits I need for small electronics. The gimick being the bits are "held" in by small magnets that are so small they barely hold the bits, and when they don't they fall out fairly easily. The driver is tension retained in the middle using a detent on the bottom, and that same detent holds the outer sleeve on - however it's very easy to depress it by accident. Also because of how it works it makes removing the driver cumbersome at times. Overall quality though is decent. Driver feels nice and the bits didn't strip out after the first couple of uses. I'd rate this a perfect 5* if the magnets were neos and the driver also had a magnet to hold the bits in. That's my real gripe is it has magnets, but they are so weak it might as well not have them.

Very well constructed Jewelers set. I Purchased this for my tech bag and get lots of use out of it. I really like the design and the the magnetic bit storage. It is very compact and fits well in a computer bag or too bag. It stores everything well without any issue of coming open and spilling the bits. A great addition to my kit!

Best set I've owned! Quality for a bargain. Great case. All the bits you need. Ratchet handle transforms to any shape you need. After owning for a bit my review has changed. The direction Lever fell off and the socket loosened for the bits so they get stuck when you use torque. You have to reverse to get the bit out. Spend more money for something more durable.
