Love this anchor, take it on every paddleboarding trip. The bag it comes in has plenty of room, so you don't have to fold it up in any particular order to get it back in. The rope is quite long and I haven't had any issues yet running out of line. The anchor itself has a good locking mechanism to keep it closed when you need, and keep it open when you're using it. Works great with my fishing kayak while fishing in the bay. Other anchor kits have 20 or 30ft line which means there are places in the bay where it will not reach the bottom, but this anchor can. I've been using it in salt water for two months and so far no visible rust (means paint is thorough and durable). Note: areas of use have sandy bottoms so this anchor has no scrapes nor scratchers (yet). ... show more

I bought this to replace my previous SUP anchor and rope I bought on Amazon when the rope broke after years of use. Although it is a nice piece of equipment and well made, this thing may be great for a small boat or zodiac, but I wouldn’t recommend it for a kayak or SUP as it is too large and heavy for the activity I am involved in. Used it for a Costco inflatable boat, worked great. The breakaway feature is key if you are anchoring over reefs. The rope held up really well even when wrapped on Coral heads. The float is key and should be used. Great little packing case and very nice stainless steel carabiner.
