Very very nice purse and I love the color in taupe. I have been wanting to downsize and this is smaller the current purse, another name brand, I have been using for several years. Anyway, I love the inside pocket, would never do without as i keep my wallet down in the zippered pocket, it is safer. One thing I do not care for are the carry handles are a little too short, can not really use the carry handles to wear over the shoulder and the long extension strap that clips on to wear over the shoulder, is way too long. Ordered this purse for myself. It came in a box that was a little beat up due to shipping, however, the purse itself was wrapped well and protected, therefore the condition of the shipping box made no difference. It came with a soft bag that it can be stored in. The purse was a little smaller than I had imagined from the review photos, however, I was looking to downsize from my current larger purse size so works well. The 3 colors are very pretty in person, very nice to have the darker leather on the bottom to help keep it look nice/clean for longer. The zipper glides really smooth. The middle pouch is larger than I anticipated- which is great. I had a checkbook size wallet which it did fit no problem, however, I wanted a little extra room for other items, so I bought a smaller wallet, now I can get my wallet and more items in the middle zippered section for safety purposes. The inside material of the purse is really soft to the touch. The stitching seems high quality and the leather appears like it will hold up over time. The purse has a magnet on the front which clasps very well, but the purse could utilize two separate magnets on the front to allow for closure when the purse is a little more full than usual, which seems like often, since again I have downsized but not fully grasped the concept yet. The shorter handle straps work better for hand or arm carry, but I still use on my shoulder which works too- just feels a little short for that. Would be nice if the handle straps were longer, with more holes to extend or shorten at will. The cross over strap was included, but I don't use it that way- as works just fine without. I really do love this bag, i would love it more if it had feet!! I have 2 other kate spade purses (dumpling satchels), 2 Michael Kors bags, and 1 coach bag. All of them are triple compartment, top-handle style bags. This one is my favorite in terms of color and storage capacity. Pros- 1. The leather- it is a beautiful pebble grain texture, that is very supple, but still durable! Coach might slightly edge out Kate Spade in terms of leather quality, but not in color. Kate spades shade of rose pink is totally unmatched and the leather is such still such beautiful quality. 2. The hardware- the hardware is my 2nd favorite part of this bag behind color. Its classic, gold-toned hardware that adds a vintage, classy vibe to the bag. The magnetic clasp with the kate spade logo is amazing. It automatically latches itself in place when you bring the clasp over its base, but the magnet isnt overly strong which would make it annoying to open. The zipper is smooth and has no issues with tension or catching on itself! 3. Size- it is quite spacious for a medium sized bag! The compartments are really deep and the zipper compartment is really spacious! Cons- 1. No feet. This bag would be perfect if it had feet on the base. I understand they wanted it to be a more slouchy style with a convertible shoulder-bag option, but it doesnt work well as a shoulder bag and is more like a satchel, and most satchel style bags have feet. 2. Handles- the adjustable top handles are too short to actually be used as a shoulder bag, even on the longest adjustment. This bag can really only function as a cross-body, or waist-length shoulder bag using the included adjustable body strap. I wish they would either eliminate the top-handles and have just one longer, adjustable strap (like on the large Deco bag) or make them shorter and solid to be used as a hand bag option in addition to the detachable cross-body strap. 3. Bulk- it is a bit bulky, but thats why its so spacious for a medium sized bag. I included some photos with a soda can for size reference. ... show more

Working hard to complete her masters she needed the perfect casual to business purse and this fit the bill. She’s ready for interviews or happy hour with coworkers. This purse is not what I expected. The arm straps are too small and the shoulder strap os too long. I thought I was getting a shoulder strap purse. Not one with a separate strap I have to attach. It makes the purse bulky with all the straps. I'm not satisfied at all
