Probably the best phone case I’ve purchased in a long time. I’ve had this for over a year and it still looks fairly new. It does scratch a bit on the back but overall it’s great quality and has saved my phone from several drops. Very satisfied!

I spent more than I normally would on the Wavy Opal Iridescent iPhone Pro Max Case ($34.99) in June 2025. In less than a year the edges had turned black on the beautiful lavender case. I sent pictures to Kate Spade, along with the receipt from Amazon. They did not approve the warranty. Quote: “Our one-year manufacturing warranty specifically covers defects in materials or craftsmanship; however, while we design our cases to be quite tough, no protection is perfect.” Needless to say I was quite upset. I looked up the case again and saw that it was about half the price of what I paid. I hemmed and hawed for a few days and because I love the design, I got another one, thinking, well, if it lasts 9 months, it’s ok. Guess what? It turned black in 3 days. This is definitely a defect in material. I see comments for both this phone case and the Opal Glitter ($54.99) about the discoloration of the case. I think Kate Spade should stand behind their products. If the material is defective, the consumer deserves an apology and a full refund. ... show more

I’ve loved the Kate Spade Hollyhock Floral pattern for years and have bought this case over and over for multiple different iPhones. I even have it for my AirPods case and charger, so I was thrilled to see that Kate Spade continued this pattern for the iPhone 16 Pro Max. Unfortunately, when I received the case, I was a bit disappointed. First of all, although functional, I really do not like the aesthetic of the MagSafe case. The circle really disrupts the beautiful floral pattern, which is one of the main reasons I keep buying this case. Aside from that, I noticed that while all previous versions had real rhinestones in the center of the flowers, this version just has silver glitter. To me, it looks cheap compared to the rhinestones, which added a nice touch of elegance. That being said, the rhinestones did start to look dirty and lose their sparkle after a few months, so maybe the glitter will prevent that issue. I haven’t had this case long enough to know if it will yellow over time, which has been another downside of previous versions. However, one thing I can always count on is the protection this case provides. My phone has survived plenty of drops from substantial heights over the years, and while I haven’t dropped my iPhone 16 Pro Max yet, this case feels just as secure and perfectly fit. After a few days, I did get used to the MagSafe circle, and I admit it does make using MagSafe accessories much easier. But overall, I miss the little details like the rhinestones, and I wish the floral pattern hadn’t been interrupted by the MagSafe design. Regardless, I still haven’t seen a pattern that I love more than this one, and this case is still my favorite that I’ve seen. The things that bother me about this case, do not impact its functionality, and would probably not bother most people.
