Love this case. It is easy to put on / take off if needed. It can get scratched up, but because of the design I feel like it is not very noticeable. I spent more than I normally would on the Wavy Opal Iridescent iPhone Pro Max Case ($34.99) in June 2025. In less than a year the edges had turned black on the beautiful lavender case. I sent pictures to Kate Spade, along with the receipt from Amazon. They did not approve the warranty. Quote: “Our one-year manufacturing warranty specifically covers defects in materials or craftsmanship; however, while we design our cases to be quite tough, no protection is perfect.” Needless to say I was quite upset. I looked up the case again and saw that it was about half the price of what I paid. I hemmed and hawed for a few days and because I love the design, I got another one, thinking, well, if it lasts 9 months, it’s ok. Guess what? It turned black in 3 days. This is definitely a defect in material. I see comments for both this phone case and the Opal Glitter ($54.99) about the discoloration of the case. I think Kate Spade should stand behind their products. If the material is defective, the consumer deserves an apology and a full refund. ... show more

I think this is a beautiful case! It looks really good and makes your phone look super chic and elegant! It did feel a tiny bit cheap for the price, expected it to be a bit more sturdy and even a tiny bit bulkier on the sides, but it doesn’t feel bad at all and will specially feel really good if you are the type of person that enjoys a sleek phone case! I personally switch my phone cases very often so I’m not sure how it would hold up if I used only this case for a long period of time, but at I at least try to use my cases for around 1-2 months each time I use them so it has held up pretty well! I feel like if you are generally careful and are not throwing or dropping your phone around all the time you will do really well with this case! One thing I also love is that it’s really easy to put in and take off your phone, unlike other cases that feel like they will break your phone when you take them off; so that’s a really good thing! ... show more

I recently upgraded to a black 16 pro max. To that phone I added a privacy glass protector and put it in this case. They are a great fit for each other. The gold accents of the case stand out, but in an understated manner. I like that the iconic Kate Spade plaque is present, and in matching black and gold. But my favorite is the little flecks of gold embedded in the texturing. They sparkle in the light when the case moves in my hand. Making this case a show piece that will be noticed. I have no regrets on this purchase based on the overall feel and grippiness of the texturing, the tone of the gold accents, and the fit of my phone inside the case, which is like a glove. My magsafe charger connected right away through the case. Plus it fits securely in the cup holder phone holder that I use in my truck and everything there works for me as well. This is the nicest phone case that I have had in years. 10/10 I would buy it again. ... show more
