This is my 3rd kastking reel. l really like the royal legend II 200. The handle is larger than my other reel. Nice. I do have a problem with my sharky III baitfeeder 5000 spinning reel. The clicker for the baitfeeder stopped clicking. Hope to hear from them soon.

Incredible! The magnetic flux break makes casting so easy. I’m 77, I grew up with casting reels and have an educated thumb from years of practice. This reel puts my thumbs intellect to shame. Great fit and finish, plus you can get extra spools from KastKing, changing them out is a push of a button, slight twist, reel side comes off, pull out spool, insert new one and replace reel side, under 30 cesonds and your fishing with different line. I first received a empty box from a third party seller, but I called Amazon and spoke with Ana, she was terrific and made everything right and got me a replacement reel. Now for the reel itself, it is by far one of the smoothest reels I have ever picked up. It has a nice feel in your hands, it's not too big for a 200, and it's definitely nothing like a low profile reel. I paired it up with a Zuess duckett medium crank rod. It's rock solid. The longer handle is a great addition. Looks great on a Cadence Heavy rod with red highlights. I spooled it up with 50lb, 8 strand Reaction braid, added 6 feet of 20lb Vanish as a leader, and I'm ready. The drag seems smooth enough, though I haven't hooked it up to a big fish yet. It fits the hand nicely, not bulky or too tall. Hand fatigue and big lures can be problematic. It handled a 1 1/2 oz swimbait easily, casting it very nicely, it only took 3 casts to dial it in, pretty much backlash free from there. It's hard to beat a reel like this for a price like this, and if you don't want to spend well over $100 for something built to do this reel's job, you'd do well to invest your fishing dollar here ... show more

This is the 2nd reel I've got from kastking, this one sadly came defective. Finally got some free time and good weather the other day so i was able to use it, but sad to find out that the drag is defective. Another great reel from cast king. I use it for throwing heavy swimbaits chasing stripers. Handles the job with ease and has the drag to handle hard fighting stripers and trophy bass as well.
