I didn’t think I had any expectations until I actually used one of the cloths this evening. Before opening the package it seemed like the cloths were nice and thick but when I went to pull one out I discovered it wasn’t one cloth but four folded together. Once I extracted a single cloth it reminded me of a man’s handkerchief like my father always carried, only a much smaller version. Completely transparent once you wet it. And extremely flimsy - I was concerned my fingers were going to go through the cloth while using it on my face. On a positive note it was easy to rinse out (I wouldn’t dare toss these in the washer) and will dry in no time at all. But I really can’t recommend them. I’ll go back to using the disposable cotton pads that at least have more thickness than a tissue. ... show more

These rinse out easily after removing make-up. They have texture that will scrub your face and give you a teeny bit of exfoliation. They dry fast and can be used again. These are not for absorbency or softness. They are when you want to wash your face, rinse cloth and air dry it. Never have make up on your nice soft bath clothes again ... show more

    • Best cleaning, huge clothes!
I didn't see any reviews on the 19X19 size. Its quite large. I have the smaller original cloths from a couple years ago and all ten of them lasted the two years before they thinned out, got lost, forgot in a hotel room and given to a friends. This brand is pretty amazing, none of seams ever came undone, like the one on the market now that are 20 pieces for $10. With the 11X11, I would do an oil clean and use this to remove all oil and makeup, so I'd have to wash it in between one use a couple times with shampoo and hand soap. I don't wear a lot of make up but just the oil and mascara combo gets kind of crazy and I want to go over my face a few times( I'm a total germ a phobe and it does get messy). With these larger clothes I can just use the whole thing with hot water and just wash it once and hang to dry. I have a towel warmer so it dries in 10 minutes and its clean and ready for the next use. I don't get throwing them in the laundry for such a tiny cloth, my god this is your face its touching you should had wash it instead of washing it in detergent. And so gross - throwing soggy oil/cleanser and makeup soaked towels with the rest of your laundry just seems really gross to me not to mention lazy. Just wash them after ever use with a yummy shampoo or shower gel and air dry. I do recommend these larger ones though, and they still dry super fast. I travel a lot and these go with me everywhere. I've used it in the mornings before a flight, washed it, dried it with a hair drier for a minute, threw it in my purse and was out the door catching my uber to the airport. See simple. Oh btw, my skin is always glowy smooth if you scrub hard enough, put on a serum and rosehip oil and do the mascara and Bare Minerals in the car. People think I'm in my mid 20's running around with barely any makeup on and traveling around the world but little do they know I'm 45 with a child in college. I love these cloths! They were just what I was looking for in my search for facial cloths that were somewhat textured for gentle daily exfoliation. I wouldn't recommend putting them in the dryer (or at least not very long and only on low heat), but they are thin enough that they air dry very fast. I can also see using these as quick, DIY reusable sheet masks by soaking them with a hydrating toner and leaving draped the face for 5-10 mins. They are great little cloths. ... show more

I purchased this product after falling in love with a more expensive muslin cloth that comes with a cleansing oil I use. I wanted something that I could use every night but wouldn't break the bank. This product is great for the cost. It is not as soft/gentle as more expensive muslin cloths, but it is not so rough that it irritates my super sensitive and reactive skin. Every night, I use a cleansing oil (dry) to break down my makeup. I then dampen one of these muslin cloths and use it to remove the cleansing oil. I double-cleanse, so I also use this to wipe off that second cleanser. Because they are muslin, they dry very quickly! I love this because I take them with me when I travel and, after washing my face at night, they are completely dry in the morning when I'm ready to pack up. They have washed well so far. I put them in the wash on hot water with my bath towels (All detergent, Borax; I do not use fabric softener), and then I put them in the dryer with those same towels. They do look wrinkled after drying, but that is the nature of this type of material and weave. Overall, I highly recommend this as a great value product! ... show more

    • Soft, but stain easily.

I bought these muslin cloths in the hopes of finding something that would be gentle on my poor, sensitive, rosacea face. Indeed, they are gentle and easy on my skin. However, unfortunately, they stain easily and the stains are harder to get out than with a washcloth. To get the stains out, I had to spray them with a stain remover, and I try to avoid using those products on items I use on my face, and I keep the stain remover mostly for "serious" stains like coffee or ketchup, but not really for makeup, which tends to come out on its own in the wash. So instead of continuing to spray them with the stain remover, I thought, "I'll try to keep them from getting overly stained." But to do that, I had to use a makeup remover wipe on my face beforehand, *then* use these muslin cloths after washing my face - something that just seemed inefficient and wasteful, and it also wasn't ideal for my skin. The cloths are really soft, and in fact, I bought them twice and I really do enjoy them. But they're a little too high-maintenance for me to use on a continuing basis, and I don't think it's a great investment for me. I do throw them in my washer and dryer, and they kind of wrinkle up, so it seems they've gotten smaller, but they don't shrink, exactly, so much as they just wrinkled a lot. Just brought softness & grit to remove my makeup. I’ve only thrown it out bc it gets pretty dirty with makeup even after the wash, but they’ve never come apart or anything so they’re quite durable. If u like something soft, I wouldn’t recommend. I will keep buying.
