This lightweight, layered-look sweater from Karl Lagerfeld Paris has a fun, retro-preppy vibe that really appeals to me. The jeweled, Eiffel tower patch on the chest gives it a classic "school sweater" look, and the ornate, fully functioning, buttons at the collar pop against the black fabric. This top does run slightly smaller than some of my other KLP sweaters. I ordered the XL, and the bust measures just a hair over 45", while the bottom opening is 41". Crafted from a 78% rayon, 22% nylon blend, it has an incredibly soft hand feel and is very stretchy. It is cold water, hand washable only. I love that the "shirt" portion of this sweater is actually knit - no dragging out the ironing board for just a few inches of fabric. I also really appreciate the fact that the wrist cuffs are layered as well, fully carrying out the two-piece illusion. I genuinely adore everything about this cute top except for one glaring problem - I did not receive the color I ordered. Rather than the black sweater with the white collar, I received the white sweater with the black collar. I have no way of knowing if this was a simple picking and packing error, or if the entire warehouse inventory is flipped in the system - which makes me very hesitant to attempt ordering again. Regardless, I do not wear white clothing. Ever. So, as darling as this sweater is, it will not work for me. Sorry, KLP - this is a wonderful top, but I cannot give it the five stars it truly deserves, since the product is not as ordered.

This sweater is completely adorable! I ordered the Karl Lagerfeld Paris Eiffel Tower collared sweater in the mostly black color option with the white collar and layered undershirt look, and in size XS. It is true to size for an extra small, so it is a little roomy on me as someone who usually wears XXS/00. The fabric is fully opaque and medium weight, with a slightly substantial feel. The sleeves are just long enough for my long arms, although I would appreciate a little more length. I am wearing this sweater as I write this, and the fabric feels really comfortable against my skin. It has stretch and breathes well, so I have been able to keep wearing it without it feeling sweltering. Every seam is sewn very neatly, and the decorative details are beautifully done. I especially appreciate that the collar stands up and holds its shape without feeling stiff. I like the button details, and it came with an extra button, which I always appreciate. I wore it with skinny jeans and tall combat style boots, and I really like how the outfit came together. I really like this black and white color combination, and I have already received compliments on it. It's perfectly preppy and a whole look in one single sweater. Overall, this is such a cute, easy-to-wear sweater, with the comfort to match its appearance. The contrasting white details give the black body a layered look that I really enjoy, and the neatly done sewing helps make it feel like a fair value. It's also one of those garments that just looks better in real life because it's so well put together. I find this sweater highly recommendable and seriously love it.

Ordered Black but the White Is Still Really Nice

I ordered this Karl Lagerfeld sweater in black, but somehow I ended up receiving the white one instead. I was disappointed that I didn’t get the color I ordered, but I have to admit the white is still really nice. I like the collared button style, and the Eiffel Tower patch gives it that little extra detail without being too much. It’s a cute sweater that can easily be dressed up a little or worn more casually. Pros: * Cute Eiffel Tower detail * Nice collared button style * White actually looks really nice * Easy to dress up or wear casually Cons: * I ordered black and received white * I would have preferred to receive the color I originally chose Who It’s Good For: This is nice for someone who likes Karl Lagerfeld clothing and wants a sweater that’s a little different from a basic everyday cardigan. Final Verdict: I’m giving it 4 out of 5 stars. I really do like the sweater and decided the white was nice enough that I wasn’t completely disappointed. I’m only taking off a star because I ordered black and received white. Other than the color mix-up, it’s a very cute sweater.

I didn't think anyone was buying my claims that I was getting into French fashion. It didn't matter how many frozen croissants I ate in the office, everyone said my Minions t-shirt "didn't qualify". So I purchased this Karl Lagerfeld sweater and was very happy with the results. The black and white are crisp, and the collared button front makes it easy to wear with jeans. The Eiffel Tower patch adds a cute little detail without being obnoxiously large and the knit is soft enough that I don't spend all day scratching at my neck. The large fits nicely through my shoulders and I have received two compliments from two women who made fun of me for pronouncing my breakfast "Croy-Sants".

I wish this would be the black like I ordered

This review is for the “Karl Lagerfeld Women's Eiffel Tower Patch Collared Button Sweater“ This is a very nice sweater, classy but modern. But…. I received the wrong color. I ordered the black sweater with the white collar insert but I received the white sweater with the black collar insert. I’m too klutzy and messy to wear white. It’s beautiful, even has an extra gold button but it’s not what I wanted. I wonder if it was a warehouse picking error or a serious tagging error. I still give it 4 stars but not 5.
