UPDATED REVIEW: PRO - Once we figured out the sound adjustments, the Buomaser Karaoke machine has "top quality sound; very impressive. The bass really pumps. The microphones are top notch; great voice quality when singing karaoke songs. The machine's lighting display is "eye catching" and an added value to the karaoke machine. No major buffering issues. Overall, you can't good wrong with this purchase. I will admit, I stand corrected on my original review of this product. It's not the worst electronic product I purchased but one great product I purchased. CON - instruction manual could be better. For those individuals interested in purchasing this Buomaser Karaoke machine, make sure you go into the "Settings" menu using the remote control to adjust the volume to the appropriate levels. It took me days to figure this out. Also, I didn't know the microphones required rechargeable batteries. No where in the instruction manual does it mention install batteries in the mics. I found that batteries in the bottom of the box; not in the plastic bags the mics were in. The instruction manual reduces my overall rating by 1 star. ORIGINAL REVIEW: Instruction manual is terrible. After a whole day, I still haven't figured out the Karaoke function. The sound is not the quality I thought it would be. Also, a buffering issue. Not a returnable purchase. So, I guess I've lost money on this purchase. Simply, one of the worst electronic pieces I've ever purchased.

Well, this is an interesting thing. And a confusing thing. It is really not Apple friendly, but is Android/Google friendly with lots of pre-loaded google apps. Unfortunately, I am all Apple here, so there is a lot to this I cannot access without signing up for accounts I do not want. And the karaoke app I use is not one of the pre-loaded apps. Now, I was able to Bluetooth pair this with an iPad, but when I did that, the screen in the device did not mirror the karaoke app. I could not get this unit to mirror with my Apple devices. It was my impression from the advertising that this unit had the capability to strip out the vocals on any YouTube song track. It cannot do that. Nor can it change pitch or tempo. The microphones are not great in sound quality. They are ok and work well even when you are using both at the same time. If you open the mics up, it appears that there are 3 buttons on them, but it does not seem that they do anything. The unit has two separate volume controls: one for the unit and one for the mics. The mics do readily pair to the unit. The base station has flashy colors with some options. It is on wheels. You can rotate the screen to some extent. The sound quality is okay in general and good for amateurs. Pros will want more. You can adjust the bass and treble. The remote control is basically redundant to the buttons on the unit itself. The whole thing is decently made and they put a lot of thought into this unit. It would be much better if it were more Apple friendly. So, I had a whole lot of questions about this machine, but the instruction manual is just a few thin pages without a whole lot of info, and certainly no answers to questions I had. So, I tried to go to their website. But they apparently do not have one. I could find nothing. Which is really odd. Who doesn’t have a website now? This machine may be able to do more than I think it can. But, there is no way to find this out easily or at all. The font they use for the name is odd and I am really not sure what a couple of the letters are supposed to be. So, I tried finding a website using different names to account for the indistinct font. Still no luck. So, they have a good concept going here, but it needs more work in order to be truly user friendly. The price is currently much too expensive for the limited functionality of this device.

The media could not be loaded. I am so disappointed with this machine. I bought it for my business and it malfunctions ALL the time!!! The screen is constantly glitching. It takes forever to turn on (Home Screen just sticks there). I have to turn it on and off. The other day it did some crazy loud thing when I turned it on. So much money and unreliable.

It has a lot of settings so you can change the sound to your liking , it’s like being your own DJ! Wireless/bluetooth feature is also a plus, It’s a little heavy but it has wheels so you can take it anywhere

The media could not be loaded. The machine has a very powerful and clear sound, the 14.1" touchscreen is practical for following the lyrics, and it comes ready to use with two microphones. Perfect for meetings and parties, I highly recommend it.

Pros (Just about everything): Sound quality Volume of the sound output while maintaining quality Surprisingly portable although it won't be moving much Fun to use (got at least one of my kids out of their shell, still working on myself) Intuitive. Cons: The screen is the only con. It is painfully slow to navigate anything. Moreso if you try to have multiple apps open at once. I have yet to research the extent to which one can modify the Android installation on there, but I don't feel like one should have to do that at this price point. There is the option to have it connected externally, but I think that kind of defeats the point of this type of device. All in all, I would say it is a 3.5 star product at a 4-4.5 star product price. Will report back if I can tinker with the software enough to make it more functional.
