We have 4 dogs, weighing from 50-120 pounds each. We previously purchased the elevated plastic dog baths found here on Amazon. The plastic alternative worked ok, but the dogs did not feel safe because it would wobble as they climbed into the tub or moved around in the tub, and while it had a leash restraint, it didn't prevent them from trying to turn around in the tub. This scared them & caused them to jump out with the leash still attached and the tub dragging behind them as they ran, trying to get away from it. We ended up just not using the leash restraint at all. They slowly got used to it more or less. The last time we used it, the base of the tub broke because while we were bathing one dog, another dog tried to jump into the tub with him. This caused the base to snap open where the leg locks into the tub. I'm sure it was due to the weight of the dogs. However, I didn't want to deal with it again. I appreciated the elevation while bathing the dogs, but it still wasn't a perfect system. I always had to bathe them outside, place my tub close to the hose, yet close enough where the drain hose would run into an acceptable location. Furthermore, medication I take makes me sensitive to the sun, so it was just an unpleasant experience all the way around. While searching for a new tub, I found this Kanis Bathing Station! I thought it was the perfect solution. I discussed it with my husband and we decided to make the investment. We installed in in the garage, conveniently located for both of us to use. The stainless steel material was perfect so we didn't have to worry about it rusting or loses it's durability in the heat (which is important as I live in the Southwest desert climate in the US), or having to go outside to bath the dogs. The ramp (versus the steps on the plastic tubs) is beneficial for my older dogs whose hips are starting to cause some discomfort. It has ample storage for everything I need to bathe my dogs conveniently available in the drawer below the tub. Unlike the plastic tub where I had to hand carry whatever I needed out & make multiple trips doing so. My husband hooked up the water lines to the sink, so they have softened water at a desired temperature to bathe in, again, totally opposite of the hose water they had endured previously, the water temperature depended on the weather - again, not great in the summer months or "winter" months. This is truly a perfect set up! However, the most important tool offered by KANIS was their customer service. Absolutely exceptional! Where my husband and I decided to install the tub happened to be between the water softener and the garage deep freezer. Unfortunately, that is also the spot where my husband put our house water filter. We managed to fit the the back splash of the tub between the water filter housing and the water filter itself, but it hit the rod part of the leash restraint. I contacted them to request additional end pieces for the rod (as we'd have to cut it, place end pieces in the holes closest to the water filter so the rod wouldn't slide out the open end) to allow for the filter to remain in place. (We didn't want to move that, and we had no other place to put the tub.) Over multiple emails exchanges, Alex from Kanis Grooming, contacted the manufacturer and had them send me exactly what I needed within a matter of days! That kind of customer service is so incredibly uncommon these days. I love everything about the company so far. I'm so impressed with the product's quality, design, & the engineering efficiency, and the customer service! Highly recommended!

This is one of those purchases that immediately makes you wonder why you didn’t do it sooner. If you’ve been washing your dog in a regular tub, outside with a hose, or worse—bending over a makeshift setup—this completely changes the experience. The build quality is the first thing you notice. It’s solid stainless steel, not flimsy at all, and it feels like something you’d see in a professional grooming shop. The ramp is a game changer, especially if you have a larger dog or one that hates being lifted. Ours walked up it after a little hesitation and now seems totally comfortable getting in on their own. The height is perfect too—no more back pain from bending over during a wash. The included grate keeps the dog elevated so water and mess drain properly, and the storage drawer is actually more useful than I expected for keeping shampoo, brushes, and towels close by. Installation took a bit of time just because it’s a substantial unit, but nothing overly complicated. Once it’s set up, it feels permanent and very sturdy.

This item has made my life so much easier with 3 senior dogs, 2 of which are just older and 1 that needs carrying up stairs and into bathtubs. I dont have to bend over the tub anymore and am not soaking wet after giving regular baths. I know the price is substantial but good quality stainless steel is high and even more so when it is thick enough that it doesnt flex while you are using it. I would say this is the same quality that professional groomings use and should last a lifetime. The ramp works great and the leveling feet can adjust to uneven floors. I just love this product and wish I had this years ago.

I have assembled the bath and run water to it. I'm working on the drain now and will be able to fix any leaks after that is done. My opinion is the metal work on the bathing station is super quality and easy to assemble. The faucets and sprayer appear to be mid quality. The drain is not great. The drain fixture in my bath would not make-up to the 1-1/2" standard drain piping supplied with the bath. I bought a standard one on Amazon that has worked perfectly. I told the supplier about the problem and what was wrong with the drain fitting. They responded quickly and gave me a credit for the part and effort expended. Overall I think this is a good purchase. Kanis has been very responsive to correct problems. Update: my friends, who are professional groomers, groomed our ten Collies yesterday using this Kanis wash station. They really liked it and thought it worked well.

Sturdy tub that makes dog baths way less messy The stainless steel feels thick and solid, not flimsy, and the tub doesn’t wobble once it’s set up. I like having the raised height so I’m not bent over the whole time washing. The drain and sprayer layout keep most of the water in the tub instead of all over the floor. It’s big enough for larger dogs but still works well for smaller ones with room to move.
