This comforter seems light but it will keep you warm. Make sure to let it air out for a few hours after unpacking so that it fluffs up a little with air. While it does work well, I prefer a thicker quilt. I also didn't particularly like that the material is not as soft feeling as I would expect. We got a king sized Goose down comforter from KAKABELL. I love how this comforter looks just as it came, but it also is duvet insert ready! It has loops for the duvet as shown in the picture. It came vacuum sealed in a nice tight package. We opened it up and gave it a good shake to fluff it out! There were a few feathers that appeared in that process of fluffing, but I haven't seen any feathers since. Even with a good shaking, it took a day or 2 to fully poof out. This comforter keeps me very comfortable! The fabric is soft against my skin with no poking feather tips. I stay nice and warm underneath it and yet do not sweat! And the King size is large enough for sharing. The stitching is good quality and mostly double stitched all through out. I hope this review was helpful! ... show more

I’m not sure how to describe just how decadent a black down comforter is. Unpacking it is just like every other down comforter you just need to air it out for a good hour or throw it in the dryer on low heat for 15 minutes to really fluff it up and give each of it’s pockets room to expand and Add the air to it but the black itself it doesn’t need a duvet cover. It is just a stunning muted mat black that gives an extra feeling of warmth and luxuriousness I inspected every corner and every pocket of the down for the stitching and how well it’s done and it clearly was done Slowly and carefully because I could not find any flaws and they took great care in binding it around the edges it gives a very high and luxurious satisfaction when you utilize it in your bed or just on the sofa. The weight is super light yet gives you the warmth you need and the coolness Whichever you choose during the season ultra soft material they chose yet strong enough to keep the feathers from poking through, I would highly recommend this as a gift to someone that is not expecting a black comforter because it will truly bring a smile to their face, especially at this price you can’t say no. ... show more

This is a nice-looking Comforter. The weight is nice, definitely doesn't feel like a cheap light weight comforter. The goose down makes this warm and cozy, however it is pretty loud. I'm not sure why they went with this material exactly, but I do wish they would've chosen something different as I have a noise sensitivity issue (Hyperacusis) and the noise coming from this is frequently disturbing me. I've had many comforters in my life and this is easily the loudest one. The slightest movement and it's making loud rustling noise. I might put it inside a duvet and see if that helps as I do like how warm it is. I hate to have to do that though as I really like the appearance of this comforter. It didn't fluff up as much as I was expecting, so I'm considering putting it in the dryer for a bit to see if that will help. ... show more

Great insert for any duvet cover. It isn't super warm but just perfect for my area. The weight is decent but not as heavy as you would see in very cold areas. It's at a great value as I've seen these go for a lot of money. The design is just fine as you won't see it inside the cover but does appear to be easy to wash. There was no smell to the insert and was packaged wells paired with a nice cover this is very comfy. Size also matched well with my cover. ... show more
