This is a well-made and useful tool. I am using it to shear and bend 26 Ga brass and 20 Ga copper sheet. The cuts are perfectly clean, with no ripple along the cut edges. The bending brake also works well, although it is worth polishing the surfaces of the rams with abrasive cloth if you want to reduce scratching of the workpiece surface. I have the machine on a low rolling dolly which I keep under a workbench when not in use. Clamping the machine to the dolly platform with an F-clamp gives enough stability for everything I have done so far.

Gear broke on 4th bend of .75mm aluminum. Can't find replacement parts, very poor materials.

For $200, this shear works fine ... crudely made but with just enough attention to detail where it counts. If you plan on using it every day, I'd spend more for better quality. The bending brake feature was tried and seemed to be good as well. Not every tool you owns needs to be great quality ... this might be one of them.

When I bought this in 2016, Customer Service was great. A few months ago, I over muscled the Brake and a small gear in the brake/shear snapped. My fault, not the MFG or quality. On March 7th 2024, I started using the "contact us" page on their website to find out if I can get a new gear, or will I need to toss the brake out. No answer. Tried again on Mar 21, 2024.No answer. Sent E-mail to [email protected]. Finally received an answer on 5/29/24, offering me a gear that goes on the handle, not the idler gear I needed. I called in to straighten out, but no answer. Sent more e-mail, this time to [email protected]. No answer. Finally reached someone who asked for a picture of the issue 6/20/2024. Sent a pic immediately. No answer since. I am going to try one more time, but the customer service part of this tool company is not very good at this point. It is a shame, as the brake/shear is actually a nice tool. I would like to fix it, but I am beginning to think that will not be possible. Good Product, real company, Customer service is nearly non-existent now. They were Excellent back in 2016. OLD Review: First of all, the Company representatives are very helpful and communicative. I had some questions before purchase and they were answereed quickly. It was the tipping point for buying this unit. After purchase, I had some questions and feedback on the configuration and operation. Again, very fast response and very friendly on top of that. If you are looking at this type of tool, you know there are quite a few brands out there that have the same configuration, they may even be clones. KaKa Industrial has not only an excellent price point, but very helpful customer service. The tool itself was well packed. Some of the small hardware was a little loose in the box, but the unit arrived in perfect shape. It was well adjusted too. The unit is covered in cosmoline (protective coating) but is nearly ready to use after cleaning, installing the handle, and mounting to a bench. It works very well. I have been using it to make aluminum sheet parts for my 1/10 scale RC Car collection. After a month of use, I am very happy with the product. This may be a legacy tool as it is well made and will last a long time. If you want or need a tool of this size and type, KaKa is a great choice of vendors. Price, quality, communication are all excellent. One of the best purchases of tools I have made.

Ka Ka is an appropriate name. It's junk. The ratchet gear locked up after about 10 uses. Operation is clumsy and messy.
