This is a great set! Comes with more than you need, the crimpers function very well and the ferules seem to be a decent quality. If you do any kind of wiring into screw down terminals, this is a much better solution than just soldering and installing. Cleans up the look as well! No brainer.

    • This electronic ferrules and crimper set is great!
This kit comes with a crimper, wire stripper, a nice case, and a bunch of crimped electronic wires ferrules, aka electronic termination points. Basically the ferrules are really helpful when assembling projects where you have to insert stranded wires into some kind of circuit board. I needed this to fit battery terminal wires into my gate opener circuit board. I couldn’t insert the wire after i stripped and spun and twisted the strands together as best I could. The crimped ferrules grab all that wire and helped squeeze down the size of the stranded wire, enough for me to assemble my gate opener. Awesome! ... show more

Just got started with ham radio. The connector supplied for a power supply didn’t really crimp well, and I was concerned about the connection and safety. This was very simple to use and created a secure connection. Not worried any longer. Great product.

As a broadcast engineer with 40+ years experience I'd have to say this is the most useless crimper I've run across. I'd hoped to be able to use this on spade lugs, etc. but the 'jaws' are too small to pass the connector. So, all you're left with is a tool that puts solid ends on bare wires. In the CE lands this would be handy, in the U. S. not so much. I'll put it on a shelf and let it gather dust until the one or two times I may need it. ... show more
