This is my first experience with KabelDirekt speaker cable, I have always used MaxBrite 14 gauge and Monoprice 12 gauge 99.9% OFC cables in the past. However, this time I needed 100 ft of clear 14 gauge and KabelDirekt's price on Amazon for OFC cable was superior, so I decided to give it a try. I used it to cable up an old 200w receiver to a Polk PSW-10 subwoofer and some Klipsch R-15M bookshelf speakers that I had sitting around new in the box. The results were excellent, the cable was easy to work with and not too stiff, the clear jacket was easy to strip using a ChannelLock wire stripper. My subwoofer has pushpin pressure blocks instead of screw/banana posts, and I typically customize the cable by tinning about a half inch of copper with some good old real 60/40 Pb/Tn rosin core solder. You could tell this was good copper (and not plated aluminum) just by how well the wire strands pulled in the molten solder via capillary action, this stuff really sucked it up and resulted in fine finished ends. Bottom line, if you are on the fence about this product, I wholeheartedly recommend you give it a try, and don't think you will regret it. The 100 ft quantity is a good price, and the quality is excellent and every bit as good as other well known brands. I always compare pricing before I buy, and I would not hesitate to purchase KabelDirekt again in the future should I require more.

This is excellent oxygen free copper (OFC) stereo cable that is advertised as being manufactured in Germany. I can't confirm the country of origin, but I can attest to the quality. This is a premium alternative to inferior copper clad aluminum cable. You may not be able to hear the difference, but there are advantages to OFC that I think justify the modest price increase. This cable is soft, flexible, and durable and has a red stripe on the positive wire that's helpful during installation. I've used it for desktop systems and run it inside walls for a home theater installation, all with wonderful results. I just ordered my third spool and couldn't be happier with it at any price. I opted to go with a different brand of terminal connectors that I've also been happy with, but based on the quality of this cable, I wouldn't hesitate to try any of KabelDirekt's products.

I bought this to install atmos speakers in my ht. Did not know it would have to travel across the country. When it got here it seemed like less than 100ft but I decided to go ahead and use it. I had five feet left over. Anyway the cable is easy to work with, seems well made. And it's not CCA. Can't go wrong with it

First, the cable its self is great. Clean sounds, uniform resistance on the scope. Used it for my living room and worked out great. The cable is kinda flexible. Easy enough to route in a tight home entertainment stand and around furniture. As others have said the sleeving is not uniform, it is thicker on one side than the other. This caused me to have to re-strip a few times to keep from losing wires. But overall I for the price I would buy it again.

Since I figured I needed 100 feet of wire to go to my garage I ordered this 14 guage pure copper speaker wire. It is hard to get into the little RCA ends or in any of the ports that hold it with a clip- as it is just a tiny bit big and you have to really twist the copper threads close together... But... the sound is wonderful !!! feels like the singer or talker right in the room, and this is on a little old Japanese made RCA ended 12 speaker box., the sound is way louder and more clear then another speaker in another place with less distance that is 16 guage copper clad aluminum. That one sounds more muffled and dull, ( it is only an 8" speaker but that shouldnt make that much difference). I wouldnt have believed the big difference.!! Very pleased with it! Someone said in another review that the wire is stiff and not as fine threads, but it was very easy and subtle to work with, I had to run it thru some 10 ft pieces of plastic water pipe as it goes from one building to another (should have got outdoor wire) and no problem. I also liked that the price was lower then some others. Make sure you get pure copper wire, it makes a difference if you go long distance.

I was expanding my system and adding some new speakers. I wanted to get solid copper wire and learned that a majority of the wire available was actually aluminum with a copper cladding to increase performance and to give it the appearance of copper. It can be tricky to discern in some of the advertising as to what exactly you are buying. Solid copper wire is becoming expensive especially if you buy the name brands. This wire is solid copper wire from Germany and is the real deal. Due to the length of run I had I opted for the 14ga wire, sounds excellent. Highly recommend!
