I installed this air filter in our 2020 Subaru Crosstrek when it was time to change out the original one from the factory. We plan on keeping the car for a long time so I felt that this would be worth the investment. The filter fit perfectly with no modifications and took a matter of minutes to install. I cant's say I notice a power or fuel efficiency difference but I'd like to think there is.

I was having great pains finding filters that fit my Subi, It seems the STI that are listed aren't actually compatible with gen5 of the imprezas and after returning more than I would like to admit I was about to give up when I went to K&N's site as saw their product listed compatibility ONLY for gen5... So I bit the bullet and bought the most expensive filter yet. It was worth every penny. The Filter fit perfectly and installation took under a minute, the filter was pre-oiled (something I haven't seen any reviews mention) and improved my MPG from an average of 33 back up to 40 like the day I bought the car... and then a few extra to 44mpg. needless to say your mileage may vary (pun intended) but I am completely happy with the filter so far. It will take a while before I know if the performance will stay that high and save me more than the cost of the filter in gas costs over the life of the car but for now I can at least stop going to the dealer every time I need a new filter. TL;DR Fits, works as good or better than OEM, highly recommended. If anything unexpected happens I will update my review.

I have used K&N for many years on every car I own. They are made to flow more air, easy to clean and re oil. One suggestion is when installing a new one or re-oiled one get a can of MAF sensor cleaner it will coat you MAF sensor with oil give it a good cleaning using the proper spray.

I have used and installed K&N filters and intake systems on other vehicles in the past. When it came time to replace the air filter on my Subaru Outback equipped with the 2.4 l turbo. I turned to K&N. Wasn't sure I was going to get the correct filter until I checked the K&N Cross reference. Installed in just minutes. I expect it to last many miles. Don't forget to order the K&N air filter recharge kit so you can clean and re-oil the filter when it needs service.

2023 subaru crosstrek. great quality and fit perfect, no issues. I actually lost 1.5mpgs from this though. didnt feel any power gain so I figured the loss in mpgs was’nt worth it. returned this and went back to stock air filter

I’ve been using K&N filters for years. They work great and save money if you’re keeping your car for a few years. Performance gains are noticeable but not phenomenal. Gas mileage improvement again noticeable (if you keep your foot under control), but not significant. I do notice a bit more of a growl. If you trade your car often then it’s probably not worth the price.
