One of the best MOD decisions I made for my 2022 Ram 1500 Classic Tradesman. The install took around 30 minutes(maybe a little more). Everything is pretty straightforward when putting the cold air intake together. However, if you get lost you can refer to the instructions included. Since installation I have definitely noticed an increase in fuel efficiency and a little power too. Also love the slight aggressive engine “growl” that comes as a result. This K&N CAI fits great(refer to before and after pics), is made of super durable material. This CAI will truly provide that necessary air flow that you want!

It’s definitely shown some power increase on the little v6. It’s loud too. Some people are into that, my wife doesn’t particularly like it though. I threw it on to get a little more power while towing my boat up the canyons, and now I’m not flooring it anymore. No idea what it did to mileage, as I changed to a larger tire almost immediately after installing this. Super simple to install. It honestly took about 35 minutes to rip the factory intake out and put this in. Hardest part was getting the old intake off the manifold. No check engine lights or trouble either. Definitely stick with legit kn stuff

This is my second K&N cold air intake. I bought one back in 02 for a 1998 Dodge Dakota R/T. I could feel the difference it made and it lasted me until January 2024 when I finally bought a new pickup. I bought a 2018 Ram 1500 Express with a V6 and it only had 14k miles on it. This was an easy install, directions were spot on and all the parts were included. There;s also a Youtube vidieo on how to do the installation that's worth a watch. I can feel better throttle response and accelleration and as others have noted it growls when you put your foot into it. This is K&N quality and I have no doubt this will last for years.

Didn’t not come with all parts needed to put on car/truck I ordered for my 19 ram 1500 classic warlock and ended up having to return and ordered it off the real k&n website that comes with everything you need to install. Would not recommend to anyone

I did not install this for performance reasons only. I now have unobstructed access to the oil filter canister cover. It is now possible to do an oil change without having to pull the clumsy air intake cover or risk breaking the fragile but expensive 2013 filter unit every oil change. The engine does have a nice growl to it when I lean into the accelerator and there seems to be some improvement to throttle response. Installation was reasonably straight forward except the mounting bolts did not line up with the new intake's airbox on my 2013 Ram V6. This required some gentle tapping with a ball-peen hammer and muscle to make it fit.

Purchased this product on April 30th arrived may 2nd fast shipping and great job by the seller. 2016 ram 1500 v6 3.7 liter Opening the box an checking the content everything was there direction and hardware. Upon overview made nicely and solid. Installing it was very easy and straightforward.(comes with directions witch have pictures) removed factory box and plenum all components fit perfectly. EXCEPT one thing I do NOT like at all. The top and front of k&n box have weather striping do the seal with is good. It the problem lies on the bottom witch does not seal like the oem. So it is not a sealed system. I will be contacting k&n and expressing my concern with this. It is not the end of the world or a complete deal breaker as I believe it's possible with the right stuff can make a better seal. Driving with it did notice a slightly better response in the throttle. I don't believe it is "horsepower increase" as much as I believe the less restriction by the strait pipe and larger diameter. Haven't had long enough to see mpg increases. Finally sound. Idling I saw little to NO difference in sound however what I DID NOTICE is while driving sound quality is much better and cleaner sounding but louder. Will update if anything changes

Installed this on my 2019 Ram 1500 Classic, was a direct fit... no issues. I can't really say how clear the instructions were since I didn't use them. I watched a YouTube video before I even purchased so I'd know what I was getting myself into. Installation took no more than 45 minutes (and that includes setting up the new parts and removing the old cleaner). Everything was very straight-forward and super easy. A tip on installing: Before you begin, thread the bolts into the holes (that attach the air scoop to the filter housing). Run them in a few good turns and then take them out before assembling the housing. I found that the holes are threaded, but it can be a little difficult to get the bolts started without first pre-setting those threads. Also, use an alan-head socket with an extension rather than a standard alan wrench (will make your life so much easier). I've only had the system installed for a few days but already I've noticed a fair gain in mileage and a small, but noticeable, gain in performance. The engine now has a distinct "growl" on acceleration, which isn't bad sounding but might be an issue for those wanting to keep their truck super-quiet. My one and only complaint has nothing to do with the product, but rather the packaging. Mine came in the K&N box, with a nice big orange and red "K&N" logo on the side. I live in the country and my letter carrier just loves to dump our packages out by the gate at the driveway (visible from the road). K&N is a pretty recognized brand, and it would be a tempting target for thieves with that big logo on there. This really falls on our letter carrier for being lazy... so no stars deducted for this. This is just a heads-up for anyone who might be in the same boat as me... you might want to request something special on packaging (like covering the logo, at the least).
