this is a pretty watery essence so i recommend using this after your toner/mist but before your serum. it’s more hydrating than a toner and preps your skin to absorb your serum better and it basically works like any other essence. it’s not going to replace any favorites for me, especially by korean brands where there’s a wide variety of essences from budget to premium brands, but it’s one of the few western brands i’ve tried that has an essence product and it’s fine. i’d say it’s pretty average but not bad or great. if you don’t mind the additional step in your routine, this will help your skin absorb the following products you apply better because a gradual increase in thickness is better for your skin than just slapping on a cream and called it a day.

I have been using this Jurlique Activating Water Essence following facial cleansing and before applying moisturizer and it feels a bit like a good quality toner but more hydrating. The scent is pleasant and the feeling is very refreshing and hydrating, great for dry weather. This product is something that is quick to apply so can be easily added to daily skincare routine and overall I am very pleased with it. The only downside is the price. I think that at $67.00 for 5 fl. Oz. this product is a bit expensive for what it is.

A pleasant enough essence. It feels refreshing when splashed on the face. Hydrates and them leaves a little bit of a feeling of moisturization once the dampness dries. It has a light scent that smells fresh and natural. Soothing to the skin causes me no irritations. Nice to use midday as a bit of cleaning for a bit of freshening up. This is very nice, but I can't justify the price of $67 (today's price) at all for a 5 fluid ounce bottle. I've used many others that were just as good, if not better, that cost much less. If you don't mind the price, you will get a refreshing splash.

I apply after cleansing and using a toner. I let it set for a minute or so and then apply a serum and my moisturizer since it's supposed to help boost the skins ability to absorb moisture. From what I have experienced it can take some consistency to start seeing the most hydration benefits but are at work right away. I have combination skin. No irritation had occurred with applying. I'm new to this brand but am liking it so far

This Jurlique water essence comes in a pretty frosted glass bottle. It is easy to apply using my fingers. It is not irritating but does not fully absorbs and leaves my face moisturized but a little sticky. This might be fine as a night essence but not really great during the day especially in the summer. I used it earlier today and my face doesn't feel oily or dry. It feels fine. It has a light scent to it and I like that you don't have to use a cotton ball or anything but your hand and fingers and pat it in.
