I'm not sure what it could keep out of the garden. Deer just push it down with their necks or hooves. Chipmunks & mice fit right through the holes. It might work against rabbits unless you have the bottom buried somehow. The only thing that it prevented was humans, LOL. I've used it around reseeded areas of the lawn to block foot traffic. I wanted a barrier around the pool deck to discourage our Golden Girls from going under and digging. I was anxious to get it up before the bulbs I planted sprouted so I unrolled and stapled myself. It would of been easier with two people but, I had no problem putting 60 feet up by myself. I stapled top, bottom and on the support beams. The green blended in nicely. My plants have started growing. I'm quite proud of what I've accomplished. Several feet of my gladiolus have grown sideways. No fault of the garden Netting. Until I was out one morning and I saw the more talented and dare I say, Magical? Claire, under the pool deck. Apparently she is the cause of the strange growth of flowers and she can shimmy under the most smallest and tightest of garden netting. Again. No fault of the netting. Claire must have super powers I'm unaware of. The netting has not ripped, torn or shown any abuse by a lovely Golden Retriever. If it can stand up to Claire, it must have its own super powers. ... show more

I needed a lightweight and light colored barrier between my porch and garden to keep my dog from getting into my garden. I thought about wood fences or gates, but that would have been too expensive since the length of my porch is really long. When I saw this, I thought I'd give it a try. The color blends in seamlessly with the air; it's tall enough, long enough, and lightweight. This is so perfect for what I needed. It seems like it would be perfect for covering plants as well. This fencing did the job around my new garden. It was surprisingly easy to fold out and handle. It will not necessarily stop deer from entering my garden, but so far has been a deterrent and I still have nice vegetables growing
