I’ll start by answering the question everyone is asking. Do the screws and all that come in neat little ziplock bags? Yes!!! They come packaged and organized in individual baggies. If that wasn’t enough to convince you to throw your money at this seller, then read on. This bad boy was relatively easy to put together by myself. I don’t wanna brag or anything but I used a power drill for the entire installation, usually I bow out after the first screw or so and look helpless until my husband takes over, but he wasn’t home so I had no choice but to power through. The drill was a little scary but nothing crazy happened. The instructions said it would take about 2 hours to complete, as soon as I read that I laughed. It took about 4…mainly because I have the attention span of a squirrel which we can’t blame on the entertainment center. Really though, much easier to put together than I expected. Now let me tell you, this sucker is fancy. I was already wowed by the ziplock baggies, but when I got a load of the back panels I immediately gained at least 50 social points. I kept looking for the little tacks to nail the panels on the back. There are none, friends. Why? Because you slide those suckers in the neat little grooves made for them. That’s right!! Just make sure they’re sitting tight in the grooves, you’ll kinda hear them pop in. The entire thing is pressboard, but it’s got the thicker textured…stuff on it. I don’t know what it’s called, I just learned how to use a drill today. I’m not going to spray it down with a hose obviously, but it will certainly wipe down well with no issue, and if there’s a spill swelling won’t be an issue. The barn doors sit nicely on a track on the top and bottom so they won’t go swinging about all willy nilly. All in all it’s a great entertainment center, I love it. My only complaint is that the hardware you attach to the doors was pretty scuffed up, one of mine in particular had a very noticeable scuff through the paint and into the metal. But, it wasn’t enough for me to pack up and send back. I’ll just dab some black gel polish on it, cover with matte top coat, cure it and call it a day. It seems sturdy, I won’t be tap dancing on top of it anytime soon, but it definitely doesn’t seem flimsy. I’d pay $150 plus tax for it again. The stand took about 2 1/2 weeks to be delivered. I was able to carry it downstairs by myself with no trouble. The packaging was good. The cardboard box was thick enough and sufficient tape was used so there was no tearing. The styrofoam boards used were low density, so they broke and detiorated easily, leaving some styrofoam on the floor. It was adequate padding for the parts, however. All pieces came to me in good condition. None were scuffed or discolored. The only cleaning I had to do was vacuuming off the loose styrofoam after assembly. The assembly instructions were incredibly easy to understand. In my opinion they were the most stand-out part of the product. All the pieces were labelled. Since the unit is particle board with veneer the pieces had to be handled with apprpriate care. The instructions indicated that two people would be needed and assembly would take two hours. I was able to assemble it alone in two hours, even with multiple interruptions. The instructions and labelling are that good. The unit gas an attractive appearance for the low price point. The doors slide smoothly. I tested the sturdiness by standing on the top shelf. I weigh 195 lbs, and it held my weight with no creaking or bowing. It holds a 65 inch TV and soundbar comfortably. A couple improvements I'd recommend are adding latches for the sliding doors, and some kind of sliding covers or vertical hatches on the middle shelves. If they could be included without adding to the price this would be a five star unit. As it is I give it four stars because it stillexceeded my expectations for the cost. Firstly, this is actually a good piece of furniture. It looks well made and I hardly had any issues while assembling it. You will need a screwdriver. The instructions call for 2 people to assemble this and the approximate time is 2 hours; I did it alone in about 3 hours. I've only had it for 1 week now, but seems to be sturdy. There were some pieces that came chipped/broken; honestly, I obviously would've preferred to have everything perfect, but those imperfections are easy to hide....not that I'm excusing them...we should be receiving the parts in perfect conditions. Now, the equally important part...as you can see in one of the attached pictures, I found a tiny cockroach (I obviously killed it before taking the photo). I guess these things happen, but I truly am unsure of just how many were in the to begin with that I was not able to see and that made me super uneasy. As I was checking that all pieces were complete, I placed some of them on the couch. The day I finished assembling everything, I fell asleep on the couch and woke up with 4 bug bites. I found it strange, especially since the temps have been so cold lately so mosquitoes didn't make sense. Well, another day went by and I woke up with more bug bites. This happened for like 3 to 4 consecutive days. Suspecting that the furniture might've come with bedbugs, I ordered bedbug spray right away and sprayed everything yesterday, besides washing almost everything with hot water and drying it at high temperature. Last night was the first night not waking up to new bug bites. You may be wondering if I slept every single day on the couch. No, I didn't, but I did sleep that one time with my throw that I usually keep on my bed....who knows if they transferred to my bed that way. Anyway. This is a good TV stand, just beware of unwanted guests...they'll come to stay. For reference, I have a 50in TV. ... show more
