    • Great storage boxes, but pay attention to photos

Although the description (and reviews) states you only get 5 hanging folders for this 2 pack of boxes, mine actually came with 10 (2 of each color), so that was a surprise. The boxes look nice and they fit very nicely in my storage cube organizer from Better Homes & Gardens. There are handles on 3 sides and each box comes with labels you can write on. I didn't notice this at first, but if you look at the photos you'll see that when they show the box with the hanging file folders inside, they do not put the lid on top. I now realize that this is because the hanging folders that rest on the edges of the box stick out too far for the lid to fit on top. So unless you want to warp the lid by bending it out at the sides, you can't hang files in here and also have the lid on securely. I just have the lid lightly resting on top instead of actually pushing it down where it goes. Since this is advertised as a lidded storage box with hanging files, it seems reasonable to expect to be able to use the lid and the hanging files at the same time, so that was disappointing and the reason for the docked star. I guess other people are just forcing the lid down to fit, but I just didn't want to stretch/warp it - doing so would prevent the lid from fitting securely if you ever remove the hanging folders in the future ... show more

With shelter in place, been wanting to clean up all my documents in my room since I have the time. I picked this because it is an accent furniture piece that complements my room. This was just what I need to store all my documents, previously I had them all over the place. Now my documents are all organized in one place. The storage has a fabric finish on the outside while being strong and sturdy. Assembling it took less than 15 seconds and is a substantial size box. The color is nice, as is the presentation in your office in the bedroom. I do not recommend if you will be opening and using often. The lid pulls on the corners of the hangers and fits a little too tight, causing inconvenience for quick or recurring use. The width of the box needs to be about 1/8 of an inch wider so that the folders are not struggling to fit or making an uncomfortable noise when you are moving them back and forth. The hangers on the folders will be resting on the material-covered cardboard, not metal or plastic so it is quite hard to move the folder when looking through your documents and such. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. This organizer was purchased because I wanted this color and size for my glass door shelving unit and did not like the ones offered at the Swedish furniture store. This file cabinet has large handle cutouts with a protective grommet that looks like shiny stainless steel. The organizer came with dividers that are color coded for sorting out bills and paperwork to keep. I was able to use this organizer for about a month until my teenage daughter saw it and said she wanted this in her room to match her decor with her briefcase record player.
