This is a really nice gift idea for someone who is getting into gardening. It has a good set of tools and the carrier bag is a really nice complement. With that said, the quality of the pieces is notably low compared to traditional name brand equivalents. I see this as a good starter set to learn the tools and see which ones you use most, but probably replace the individual components with better ones over time. The pruning tools seem to be the worst of it in terms of being lightweight and looking fragile. There is a measuring trowel included, but the markings are not deep so they become hard to read. Overall, this is a good starter set, especially as a gift. However this probably wouldn’t be very helpful for a more experienced gardener who may need better quality tools. I still feel it is worth 4 stars if it’s considered through that gifting lense and considering the price point.

This gardening tool set has a lot of tools and for the price it is a good value! I used the pruning shears and they worked fine. The repotting mat is a great idea and will definitely help keep things neat when repotting. The tools seem to be good quality. The bag itself not so much. It does not have a firm floor so it does not stand up with the tools in the pockets. The elastic band that helps to hold the tools in place broke fairly quickly. The bag is more like a sack. You can put the tools in but it does fall over.

I’m an older woman who spends a good part of her days in the garden, and I’ve gone through my fair share of tools over the years. This Joyfair Gardening Tools 12-piece set has honestly made my gardening a lot more comfortable and organized. The tools feel sturdy in my hands, not flimsy like some of the cheaper sets I’ve tried before. The handles are easy to grip, which matters a lot to me these days, especially when I’m transplanting seedlings or working in tighter flower beds. The little extra care in the design really shows when you’re using them for longer stretches. I especially like the repotting mat as it keeps my porch from turning into a mess of soil, which my husband appreciates almost as much as I do. The pruning shears are sharp enough to handle my roses and herbs without much effort, and the hand rake is just right for smoothing out soil around my plants. Comes with a LOT of different tools. the scissors were nice and sharp but the tab to keep them closed kept slipping towards the blades and not letting me cut spent blossoms so i removed it. the other tools are really heavy duty and come in handy, as well as a nice set of gloves and 2 spray bottles which i can never have enough of! Overall, a pretty nice set of gardening tools with a heavy canvas bag to keep everything in and organized. deducted one star for the scissor issue...
