Ended up working at a renaissance fair as a cast member where the costume director recommended this style of boot for garb. The boots were comfortable enough to be worn for 2-3 day weekends for 12 hours on end constantly on my feet, and I've been using them for almost a year now. They have some wear and tear around the sole, but nothing that isn't easily fixed, and the shoes are both comfortable enough to use at the renaissance fair and formal enough that I've worn them to a wedding without issue. ... show more

These are very good looking boots. I love the cut and the fit was great. They are easy to get on and take off, yet my feet feel secure. You need to waterproof them (I used boot oil which darkened them a bit). THey seem well made. Only 2 points to ponder. There is little traction on the sole. Snow will build up and creates a slip hazard. Just be aware. The insole could use more padding. It is thin and comfortable unless you walk any great distance (I walk about 5 miles a day) At the end of the day my feet were tired for sure. I am adding a padded insole to mine because I love the look of the boots, but if you're looking for a well padded boot without having to add something, you may want to explore other choices. ... show more

I bought these to replace a pair from a different brand as after over a year of wear they were starting to fall apart. These didn’t even make it more than 1 month of actual wear. I have never in my life had a shoe fall apart in this spot and I could feel that something was wrong with the left heel of the shoe within a week of wearing but thought maybe I stepped on something or was walking weird. I love these boots as they were comfortable and classy. I now have three pair, tan, gray and black. They run a little large, so I put foot pads in the bottom, making them even more comfortable and cushy.
