2022-10-21 UPDATE. OK. So It's been 3 weeks with the new backpack, so I've decided to give this bag a good once over. Here's the skinny... Materials: This backpack is truly heavy duty! The PVC plastic is nice and thick (just over 1.5 mils), and it being plastic is naturally waterproof. Zippers: There are two compartments to this bag; the large one is double zippered, and the smaller one on the front is only single zippered. The zippers are nylon coil (which are the cheapest of zippers, but for the price and life expectancy of this backpack, I can't see them using vislon (molded tooth) or metal) and are double stitched for extra durability. Construction: There are also elastic mesh pockets on either side of the backpack to store small items or a drink. In addition to the zippers, the areas where the smaller compartment and the side pockets lie are also double stitched as they can be high stress points if heavy items are placed within. Straps: The straps made of nylon fabric, giving a softer feel to it, which is needed to ensure you don't get friction burns. The straps have little padding (about 2mm) and are secured to the top of the bag bag via polyester webbing commonly found with all bags. This same webbing is used to reinforce the entire length of each strap. At the base of the backpack, there is with more nylon which the polyester webbing is secured to. Why so much nylon you ask? Well, although nylon may be easy to cut, it has a very high tensile strength, making it very strong when not damaged. Capacity: The large compartment is 16" x 12" x 6" (h x w x d), providing 2/3 of a cubic foot of space! The smaller pocket on the front measures 11" x 9" x 2" (h x w x d), adding an additional 198 cubic inches of space, perfect for storing your pencil case, calculator, and geometry set. The bag is also designed to support up to 20lbs of weight, but unless you're carrying rocks, you'll never reach this maximum. Overall, I'm very impressed with this bag. It is functional with its simplicity of just two compartments, and it appears to be well engineered both in terms of material quality and construction. It's no wonder why the company stands so vigorously behind their product. This brings me to my last point, their Customer Service is excellent! In all transparency, this review is based on a replacement bag they sent me as my original one did not even last a week before the ladder lock buckle snapped. Well, this bag did withstand the last few weeks with ease... Based on the bags performance, and after a more detailed look at it's construction and materials, I'm giving it 5-stars. Nicely done Jomparo! 2022-10-01 UPDATE: Amazing Customer Service! Wow. So before I started the process to return this bag, the seller had reached out to me (literally within 24 hours of my review!) Customer service hours are Monday through Friday and yet they reached out to me (via Amazon messages) on Saturday! I'm very impressed with this level of customer service. They asked me some question about my experience with the bag, and then offered to replace the product. If you read my review, you will see that I did suspect that it was a defective part, so I agreed to the replacement product. I received it within 2 days, and the bag made it through the week without issues. I'm temporarily bumping the rating to 2 stars (from 1 star) for the excellent customer service, and pending another week or two of use, I will give my final rating and feedback... stay tuned! 2022-09-22. Didn't even last a week... Durability, High Quality, Rugged, Reinforced, are all words that can be found in the product description; however, any product is only as good as its weakest component. With in-school classes resuming this year, the district banned school bags, backpacks, and rucksacks of every kind, unless they're clear and transparent. When I saw the prices of these things, all I could see was the register of the manufacturer and retailers ringing CHA-CHING! Let's face it, nobody expects a plastic backpack to last years and years, but for $20-$30, most would hope that it would last at least one school semester! The one I received broke within the first week of use, and not where you'd expect. The PVC plastic didn't tear, the seams didn't burst, and the zippers aren't stuck. No, all that held up fine... what broke was the plastic ladder lock buckle that's affixed to the bottom of the shoulder strap. Not sure whether the parts are just really cheap, or whether I received a defective bag, but it cracked, snapped, and popped just from picking up the bag from off the floor. The bag, was about half full with about a 7-pound load (A binder, a text book, a writing pad, and a small pencil case). Since it would surprise even me that a buckle would snap under a mere 7 LB load, I'd like to lean towards the ladder buckle being defective. I didn't notice a crack in it before, but then again, it didn't occur to me to inspect it. Very disappointing... The only bright side is that it broke sooner than later and it's still within the return period.

This backpack is the perfect requirement for my job as a correctional/detention officer. There’s not a lot that we are allowed to have, therefore, I was very dissatisfied & disappointed that it had a hole that connected the outside pocket to the inside of the backpack after carrying it for 1 1/2 months. After all the description says “heavy duty”.

I had get see thru backpack for work. I’ll admit I didn’t want to, but being able see where stuff is and not have dig thru bag plus waterproof in inclement weather is a plus. This is a sturdy thick bag , but plastic strap adjuster did break. I still give it 5 stars because customer service was super fast at responding and replacing it with a new bag. I find if I just ask for help and not show anger most companies are willing work with you. I will say I like this product and jumparo went above and beyond with customer service, that matters to me.

Bought this because I was going somewhere that required a clear backpack. Even loaded down, this stayed comfortable to wear for hours. You can pack a lot of stuff into it as well. The price was even quite reasonable. The two downsides are that it does not pack down the way other similar backpacks do that are made of different material, and I am not sure this would hold up to daily use with a heavy load of books like for school. That said, this seems quite durable for the materials used, and even under heavy use, I would expect it would hold up as well as most clear backpacks would, including far more expensive items.
